05/9/2007 13:56 | Co content is 0.05%, if you use pyromet to treat the dirt you lose it, hydro you get the Co credit | coldrolled
04/9/2007 10:28 | I shall be interested to hear if there is any notable cobalt content at the nickel mine. | azalea
04/9/2007 10:23 | Shevchenko news.....! to be or not to be?????? I think it will BE and it will be getting built soon, remeber ir makes a squllion bucks at $5/lb nickel at $10/lb it's NPV is around the 1 billion mark and capital about 600m..news sonn HOLD | coldrolled
31/8/2007 17:16 | IFL up 1.8%- listing on the main market today. ORI up 11.5% on the day; there must be very good news in the pipeline. | azalea
23/8/2007 16:39 | Big Onions....thanks for that. But if you listen to the Oriel Audio Webcast....the recording of a presentation at Boston on the 8th August found on Oriel website....Dr Kurzin talks about a decision to be made this present quarter on the new smelter location....and with timing mentioned in the Kazakstan article i.e. 2009....this does seem to suggest a new smelter project....DYOR. | metex
23/8/2007 15:43 | Bo-Metex, FYI, I think you will find the article refers to the construction of the beneficiation plant at Voskhod and not a second smelter, dates are a bit out of wack as well as production will commence by Q3 2008 Cheers | big onions
23/8/2007 14:53 | shevchenko update due soon, Q3 07. | mical
23/8/2007 09:53 | Bo I suspect ORI is not on that many PI radar, whilst others might be put off by IFL disappointing performance and the recent hit on the mining sector. There are a lot of goodies in ORI bag of prospects and I am particuarly comforted by the several major shareholders. One thing is for sure, if the share price dips again I will not hesitate to double my stake; watching closely. | azalea
22/8/2007 19:32 | Bo Doodak....thanks for article. Interesting news on proposed location....would make very sound commercial sense IMHO....as Voskhod mine is close (a matter of a few kilometres)....to what is believed to be the largest ferro-chrome mine in the world....and other smaller ones. May be any new smelter when commissioned for Voskhod....could then be potentially used further down the line....to process ferro-chrome from this and the other local mines....or even sold on when the Voskhod resource is mined out?....DYOR. | metex
22/8/2007 19:09 | Azalea, There does seem to be a real sense of purpose/urgency/comp But I'm surprised how little interest there appears to be here. I can only put it down to political/regional factors. And Shevchenko still to come. | bo doodak
22/8/2007 18:41 | Bo Thank you for the news. Certainly not letting the grass grow under its feet. | azalea
22/8/2007 18:10 | 2nd smelter to be located at Voskhod by 2009. That should utilise nearly all Voshkod's production capacity. Hopefully they might be able to finance the bulk of it out of cash reserves and coming cashflow. | bo doodak
20/8/2007 10:16 | Hmmn, something has put a rocket behind the sp, perhaps my reference to IFL. | azalea
18/8/2007 10:20 | If its any consolation to any PI who might be kicking themselves over the fall, remember Eanermoon spent £36m in nigh on doubling its stake in the recent placing @ 61p. Given that ORI is therefore not strapped for cash and demand for ferrochrome has not vanished overnight, the fall in the share price is largely the result of some negative sentiment and a drift down of prices in the base metal sector. In addition, the fact that the p.o.g. (a safe haven metal) has fallen whilst crude has risen, is an indicator of the general turmoil in the markets. By e.o.y. if not before, the dust should have setted somewhat and reveal what the damage is vis a vis the measures taken by the U.S. Federal Reserve and other central banks. Edit: FWIW, In today's S.Tel, Questor gives IFL a 'buy' recc. In which case, I suggest that what's good for IFL should also be good for ORI. | azalea
16/8/2007 14:21 | 55p will be passed on this correction south. 50p looks like support. Will wait for that before placing any more cash here. | knackers
08/8/2007 17:23 | Where did they get those from though ??? The LSE should really sort out the notification of holdings from these institutions as they are very misleading to say the least. They are often so delayed or misleading that they have no use to the market. That is the one thing that they need to have done for some time to have a proper reporting procedure no longer than 10 working days with all purchases and sells listed so that we the "plebs" can have access to the correct information. | kermit
08/8/2007 16:42 | RAB Special Situations (Master) Fund upped to 7.31% (46.54m shares, from 36m shares); good vote of confidence | mikehardman
08/8/2007 16:21 | And I will be in for my first lot, have been waiting for the retrace deck | deckergj
08/8/2007 15:25 | I hope so, as I will be in for more! | azalea
08/8/2007 15:17 | Looks like this is going to weaken to support on the lower line of the trend channel i.e. 61-62p. A lovely upward trend channel. | knackers
08/8/2007 15:08 | Having sold @ 70p+,I have been holding my breath (watching the share price moving up and down)whilst waiting for some fresh cash, just got back in with 6900 @ 67.38p, (plus 5700 for my son). With the commissioning of the second furnace (revenues already starting to flow in from the first)and several potential customers showing significant interest; I will not be selling again;phew! | azalea
07/8/2007 13:05 | ...and ORI is navigating this choppy market a little like the Queen Mary might transit the village pond in a breeze. Only let's hope she doesn't run aground. | knackers
07/8/2007 10:01 | going a bit better now, having taking a choppy pause around 70 edit: added sub-73.5 | mikehardman |
