                               DIRECTOR'S DEALING 
 
Pennington, NJ - October 13, 2010 -- Ocean Power Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: 
OPTT and London Stock Exchange AIM: OPT) ("OPT" or the "Company") announces that 
it received notification on October 12, 2010 that Dr. George W. Taylor, 
Executive Chairman and Director of OPT, had sold, on October 11 and October 12, 
2010, a total of 45,560 shares of common stock at prices ranging from US$5.20 
per share to US$5.92 per share. 
 
Following this sale Dr. Taylor holds 620,801 shares, representing 6.0% of the 
Company's issued share capital.
