13/10/2011 15:10 | If you were in a stock would you downgrade it when it is recovering fast! See them as horse riders, they downgrade start buying on weakness, they upgrade start selling on strenght! When I was saying to people to sell LLOY they were upgrading like crazy!! | investrology
13/10/2011 15:09 | As we speak, it's all fast few days, today tomorrow as morons sell they buy! as the share price gets to 50% 100% up then upgrades kick in and they start to sell! | investrology
13/10/2011 15:06 | How long does that kinds thing take ? to be positioned again for an upgrade ? | k3nw00d
13/10/2011 15:05 | Then when they are all positioned it will be upgrades after upgrades! | investrology
13/10/2011 15:03 | Britain's big banks faced another ratings downgrade today as the third of the rating agencies, Fitch, prepared to fall into line with its rivals. Like Moody's which downgraded 12 banks and building societies last week, Fitch was expected to cite the threat of tighter regulation and the gradual withdrawal of state support for the banks as the main reason for its downgrades, as opposed to any further weakening of the banks' trading positions. Fitch said it would not comment on market speculation, but reports suggested it would publish the downgrades only after the stock market had closed. The review covers the major banks including the state-supported Royal Bank of Scotland and Lloyds Banking Group as well as Barclays and HSBC. The downgrade comes as UK banks received rather better news from HSBC. Its analysts have run the numbers on what would happen to Europe's biggest banks if larger-than-expected haircuts are demanded alongside a Basel III order that core tier capital must be at least 10%. HSBC concludes that while this will mean raising 98 billion (£85 billion) in fresh bank capital across Europe, its four UK rivals - RBS, Lloyds, Barclays and Standard Chartered - would have no need for new capital. | investrology

13/10/2011 06:40 | I have to say I don't agree here in the short term (1-3 days). The SPX got to 1220 area which is the old swing high and then reversed 17points to close 1203 on OX at 9:15PM. Most of the volume was the drop into the close. The Daily DTOsc is way overbought. The Weekly is still Bearish. Everything there tells me there is a pull back coming. If the low of the 4th Oct holds, only then would I turn bullish. I pickup up 3 SPY Puts yesterday. +10% already, but only looking to hold for a few days like I said, short term trade. I sold my SPY Calls yesterday near the top for a very small profit after commission. Next high is at 1230. This will either be a spectacularly brilliant or total disaster trade! | neilbuc
12/10/2011 20:08 | More volume on RBS today (double yesterday and not had that volume since 9th August), not a bad day all told, DOW and RBS tailed off a little at the end, ut nothing goes up in a straight line. Thursday tomorrow, wonder if VAL will bring us an early morning wake up call ?? Noticed Volition is not doing the best, floated at 3 dropped on 2.5 on first day and dropped to 2 today ?? hmmmmmm.... May not be on for rest of tonight, if not, have a good one guys and catch ya for more action tomorrow !! Night Night ;-) | k3nw00d
12/10/2011 20:06 | FT caused the last hour profit taking so we may not have much problem tomorrow 2pm onwards, so far so good :) | investrology
