Posted at 09/5/2016 11:39 by mikeh30 Agree. I took some this morning to average down. Only time will tell if it was smart.Wouldn't surprise me if Mr Dudley makes a few purchases to put the price back up. |
Posted at 09/5/2016 11:36 by andrbea so they lost 200k instead of 400kso now at 7.25p (cf float price of 11p) so the loss in mkt cap is much greater than that 200k negotiation cost SP oversold looks IMO they'll be keen to make a new acquisition soon, to save face... and who knows ... maybe they have a second bunny well advanced, knowing that the first project was probably not coming to fruition. otherwise why resume trading now (with all the costs that entails) just my thoughts |

Posted at 24/9/2015 17:06 by mikeh30 Following recent discussions, the Company has entered into non-binding heads of terms with Hudson for the acquisition of SoloPower for a consideration of US$220 million (the "Acquisition"). The heads of terms provide that the Acquisition will be satisfied by the issuance of new ordinary shares of GBP0.01 each in Opera ("Opera Shares") to Hudson at a price of GBP0.28 per Opera Share, valuing the existing issued share capital of Opera at GBP4.8 million. In addition, it is envisaged that, in conjunction with completion of the Acquisition, there will be an equity financing raising net proceeds of not less than US$40 million to fund certain future investment and working capital requirements of SoloPower. |
Posted at 21/7/2015 11:03 by mikeh30 ""There has been significant volatility in the significant metal and energy prices in recent months. Concerns over global growth, currency fluctuations and the timing and impact of central bank intervention are amongst the many factors that have influenced the price and demand of such commodities. For example, the fall in the price of energy-related commodities has been particularly acute in recent months. In this light, the Directors believe that there are outstanding resource projects that have been unable to source the finance enabling them to be developed. Should underlying commodity levels reverse their recent declines and given that capital is presently scarce for such companies, the Directors believe that there is an opportunity for the suppliers of capital to offer funding solutions in these stressed circumstances. The Directors believe that the combination of circumstances related to current and prospective demand for commodities, and related commodity prices, and the expectation and activities of corporates and investors in the natural resources sector, together with the skills and strengths of the Board, will enable the Company to identify a suitable opportunity for the Acquisition to generate Shareholder value in the Company."" |
