09/7/2002 13:28 | TRADING UPDATE indicates all is fine at PR agency OneMonday, all businesses remaining profitable, minimal debt & $5m due from selling its name, not bad for a company that is worth £16m (at 36p). EPS of between 1.1p - 1.5p for July 02 & between 1.9p - 3p for Jul 03 as per the two broker forecasts I have. Thats a P/E for next year of between 12 & 19 depending on who you read Beeson Gregory or ING Baring. Excellent value. (AFR) 09/07/02 12:30: ONEMONDAY GRP. - Trading Statement LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 9, 2002-- ONEMONDAY GROUP PLC ("the Company") TRADING UPDATE Strong balance sheet underpins steady OneMonday recovery The following is an extract taken from the Company's circular to shareholders published on 9 July 2002. While global economic turbulence appears far from over, the Directors are pleased to report that the group's business is trading profitably in line with the expectations set in April 2002, when the Company's interim results were announced. The Directors therefore believe that the group's financial and trading prospects for the current financial year will be satisfactory. It is true that the market for public relations (PR) services remains depressed. It is now 18 months since the market for technology-specialis are now being felt with much the same severity by nearly every other specialisation within the PR industry. That said, technology-specialis Europe has suffered no further deterioration in recent months, and at a group level, fee income is stable and showing some signs of shading upwards. Against this background, the group is now enjoying the benefits of the extensive rationalisation undertaken over the past 12 months, and all of its PR brands, Text 100, AUGUST.ONE, Bite Communications and Joe Public Relations, continue to trade profitably. The group, with minimal net debt, remains well positioned to benefit from any upturn when it arrives and, subject to shareholder approval, the net proceeds from the US$5 million proposed trademark disposal, details of which were announced on 10 June 2002, will strengthen the group's financial position further still. | ![]() fastbuck
10/6/2002 13:55 | Dear followers, Good deal done. They are being paid $5m for their name. Add this to the business which should be recovering nicely with the economy, the new IBM deal and no real debt whilst remaining profitable and a market cap. of only £13m. Personally looking for £1m pre-tax profit this year and at least £1.5m - £2m the year after. Price now up a 1p after I topped up Mark OneMonday Group's Interim Results (half year to 31st January 2002) • Net revenue was £17.36 million in half year to 31st January 2002 compared with £20.31 million in first half to 31st January 2001 • Pre exceptional PBT from continuing operations of £522k (2001: £1,216k) • Net debt position of £1.071 million at 31st January 2002 in line with end of year position and has been considerably reduced since end of half as cash flow has strengthened • IBM product pr contract was commenced successfully in fourteen countries by Text 100. Recent new business wins include Sun Microsystems and Veritas (Bite Communications), TotalFinaElf (AUGUST.ONE) and WH Smith Book Awards and Umbro.com (Joe Public Relations). • The Group has made a stronger start to the second half, benefiting from reduced overheads, the elimination of loss-making subsidiaries and the impact of major new business wins - Text 100's US business is performing especially well. • The Board is cautiously optimistic that the outcome for the full year will be satisfactory and that once the tentative recovery in North America becomes established and spreads to Europe and beyond, the Group will return to organic revenue growth and improved profitability. | ![]() fastbuck
17/5/2002 18:11 | Tom also stated: "fashionable to talk about a technology led recovery in the US during 2002.. as the group will be well positioned to capitalise on it.." No sign yet | base2

03/12/2001 16:01 | OneMonday has been tipped in Growth Company Investor this month-here are main points.. *Contract signed a few weeks ago with IBM worth £18m a year over 2 years *Generates sales of £45m pa (3 times market cap) *Broker estimates 2002 £2.1m profit on sales of £41.6m & EPS 2.9p *Broker estimates 2003 £4.1m profit & EPS 5.5p *Price hit 457p in 1999 but are just 36.5p today Worth a punt in my book-could easily double over 6-12 months. Be lucky. | senzasoldi

07/3/2001 23:08 | I tried the yoghurt pot thing tonight but it doesn't work, and on top of that the thing emptied into my ear! | kayak

07/3/2001 19:13 | Chaos Fault is - they would know something is wrong because a trader would never buy a dress for his wife from M&S.....Gucci or Armani maybe! lol I have heard that some trading institutions have secret lines to eachother in the form of pieces of string with yoghurt pots on the ends - I bet they use them! :o) | einstein

07/3/2001 09:41 | Mobile phones are not allowed (to be turned on) on the trading floors - all communication like that has to be over the taped phone lines to cover the institutions in case someone makes some kind of accusation. | einstein
