It looks like they have taken action principally at the behest of shareholders. For me, it is astounding that they are to close the Pune manufacturing facility having spent so much on getting it operational and having told us how great it was for the business!Closing the German operations is a no-brainer but why has it taken so long. It would look like the company is very poorly run to have taken so long to address these issues.I am speechless at the level of managerial incompetence.

Now we know and they are grasping the nettle.
Price did reflect developments in advance of release.
Guess major holders reminded management what they are there for.
Calm thoughtful execution needed and agree sum of parts doesn't reflect value.
Wonder if a chance of break-up to release value?

Let's see if Mills takes an interest now.

Lack of progress would be an understatement but the bold actions taken today is encouraging.Still, silver lining is that they have avoided all mention of raising capital. It looks tight, but maybe they don't need more?

The bid represents a discount of almost 25% on the placing price last year, which was itself very heavily discounted. The people heading the company should be ashamed.

Another 8 months away yet but Messrs Evans, Shepherd and Harbinson each have options granted on 10 December 2008 with an exercise price of 19p which expire on 10 December 2018.

No idea what is likely to propel the share price north of 19p in the short term, just shows how their expectations of how Omega would perform over the last 10 years have just not materialised.

In a perverse way I almost hope that the share price doesn't rise too much this year as they do not deserve to profit from them in my opinion, that is my 'gripe of the day' out of the way now! 😧

No matter what the reasons jeevsje for the company to let this slide without any attempt to shore up the price is showing total lack of any respect for their shareholders....
