24/7/2014 16:31 | I'm tempted back here but I'm wondering on the time scales to see some meaningful ramp up in the CD4 manufacturing, moving from field testing into full on production. The outlook statement seemed vague about it, "timing not an exact science", ok, but are we talking about this year or next ! | spacecake
23/7/2014 13:41 | It's an ideal opportunity for new investors though at these prices. IMHO anyway. The Aids conference in Melbourne may bring about further news in time. It seems that ODX personnel were fortunately unaffected by the plane crash, and there were thousands of people attending anyway so the unfortunate fatalities were only a very small proportion. | rivaldo
22/7/2014 08:25 | We could really do with the CE Mark approval for CD4 to help stop the sell off and bring in new investors......very surprised to see these share price levels, it's amazing what a bit of caution in a statement can do to a share... | barrywhit
18/7/2014 12:01 | Good research Rivaldo as ever. The horrendous and tragic death of passengers on the Malaysian plane that was brought down yesterday over Ukraine may have wider implications for Omega in the short term perhaps as a number of the murdered passengers were Aids experts going to the Melbourne Conference, which incidentally Omega are due to exhibit at. | hyperboreus
18/7/2014 06:42 | Gemalto announced on Tuesday their participation in the pan-African m-health GSMA initiative which ODX recently RNS'd - note that this is very near-term stuff: "The first phase of the initiative will be launched across seven countries (Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Uganda and Zambia) in September 2014, extending to a further four (Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique and Tanzania) in early 2015." The original GSMA partnership announcement on June 30th specifically mentioned CD4: "Make innovative diagnostics like the Omega Diagnostics Visitect HIV CD4 point of care solution more affordable and accessible via mobile integration." | rivaldo
17/7/2014 09:42 | Thats the second one sorted. Tax free profits now luvly jubly. | leedslad001

03/7/2014 15:26 | Don't think it will take a lot of buying to send this back into the 30p range. | leedslad001
02/7/2014 12:41 | Cheers Hyperboreus! Well done on getting in here at 10.6p. I've certainly been watching here since 12p from memory, and maybe before. We evidently have similar investing tastes. I was similarly lucky (or one might immodestly say far-sighted!) to get out of TCN when the warning signs first arose. I think you'll be very lucky to see the share price here back to sub-15p - I'll be fighting you for the shares :o)) I met David Evans (the Chairman) when he was just starting out at Shield Diagnostics and was extremely impressed. His career since then hasn't surprised me, and he has a big City following of course. I have great faith in him doing the right things and making ODX a big success. | rivaldo
02/7/2014 11:26 | I would like to think that I too have 'good investing sense' as my average purchase price in ODX including dealing costs is 10.59233p, it is all the pointless tittle-tattle that gets on my t*ts. I do agree with you leedslad001 that Omega is still worth investing in but I will only be tempted to add if it falls to sub 15p. I am also encouraged by the likes of rivaldo jumping on board as he knows his stuff imho. It may be pure coincidence investing in the same companies as him but I have done rather well in a couple of companies that he is or has been invested in over the last couple of years, Tricorn Plc for example which I happily exited near its recent peak. | hyperboreus
02/7/2014 10:48 | Some body else on here with good investing sense (rivaldo) | leedslad001
02/7/2014 09:33 | I've been buying ODX at these prices too. Been watching for ages and never thought I'd get the chance to buy in at not too far off the price it was before the successful CD4 completion news. With £2.4m net cash ODX is fully funded, and the historic 1.2p EPS is forecast to rise to 1.4p EPS this year and 3.2p EPS next year. The CD4 launch caution in the results narrative has understandably brought the price right back, but it's easy to see that in a year to 18 month's time the share price could be anywhere from 30p to say 50p-60p. | rivaldo
02/7/2014 08:28 | That will do for me 18.74 tuck away in trading isa for future | leedslad001
01/7/2014 18:00 | Hi barry one saying comes to mind fools and money soon parted lol. Just waiting in the wings for another 100k in next couple weeks hopefully. | leedslad001
01/7/2014 12:07 | Hi Leeds, I am astounded by the sell off after those results........don't people "invest" anymore??? | barrywhit
25/6/2014 07:36 | As always small pi's sell up on slightest thing then miss out on the large mark up when news comes. I am happy to add when funds available. Don't see any problems at all for the future SP imho. | leedslad001
24/6/2014 14:30 | Didn't expect to see these levels Leeds!!!!......not high volume taking it down either.... | barrywhit
24/6/2014 06:07 | Omega shares slump after warning Today, 4:53 AM | jollynews
23/6/2014 12:40 | If only i had some spare cash. lol | leedslad001
23/6/2014 10:14 | Agreed Hyperboreus, distinct uncertainty and pessimism about revenues and budgets for CD4. Finncap have reduced their forecasts for 2015 this morning. I don't have precise numbers yet. ODX will remain on my watchlist as it remains extremely promising, but there's no hurry to buy for a while now given today's caution and pushing back of CD4 commercialisation. | rivaldo
23/6/2014 09:37 | Not a lot of sellers though, no volume. If you can afford to buy and wait there are not many companies around with this potential imho. + plenty cash in the bank. | leedslad001
23/6/2014 09:18 | Unsurprising that the share price is coming under pressure given the arty-farty statement by the Chairman: "Our future landscape is brightened, as well as dominated, by the prospects for our Visitect® CD4 test, which is now well into its field trials. However, we all have a dislike for complete uncertainty and that is our challenge in being able to set our budgets for the current year in relation to both the timing and quantum of CD4 revenues. We will make significant progress this year in terms of gaining market acceptance for CD4 and I believe the prospects for the Group remain positive. " What I find surprising is why 3 Directors purchased shares in March between 28.5p and 30.25p, suggesting that things perhaps haven't quite gone as well as they expected in the last 3 months. I do not disagree with the fact that the future may well turn out to be a very rosy one for Omega but there is still clearly a lot of uncertainty as to when revenue streams are likely to justify the current share price imho. | hyperboreus |
