Director's shareholding

The Company has been informed today of the following purchases of shares in
the Company at 91p per share on 27 January 2000:-

Mr Michael Bennett, Chairman, acquired an interest in 120,000 shares,
representing 0.23% of the issued share capital, and now has a beneficial
interest in 5,878,211 representing 11.21% of the issued share capital.

Mr Maurice Bennett, Vice Chairman, acquired 100,000, representing 0.19% of the
issued share capital, and now has a beneficial interest in 6,228,112
representing 11.87% of the issued share capital.

Mr Derek Lovelock, Chief Executive, acquired 5,000, representing 0.01% of the
issued share capital, and now has a beneficial interest in 10,000 representing
0.02% of the issued share capital. 

Mr Vivian Scott, Managing Director, acquired an interest in 500,000,
representing 0.95% of the issued share capital, and now has a beneficial
interest in 5,288,541 representing 10.08% of the issued share capital.
