05/4/2005 13:54 | OKG = RIP But many thanks for allowing me the opportunity to get my original PME investment back. Much appreciated. At one point I was sure it was a complete write off. | celtic ii
02/4/2005 16:59 | After CELTIC's heavy hint I have set up an Adorian thread with graphs news etc etc - but thought it prudent this time to leave out any reference to "Heading towards £1". Best not tempt providence on this occasion. The EPIC is ADP . | sandbank
01/4/2005 23:41 | Is it 2% or 3% of the shares which is a notifiable interest? I must do my sums on my holding in Adorian and let who needs to know, know........ | bishopawn
01/4/2005 23:39 | Celtic not arguing with Sharebuff, Well, well....have we an Item here. It will be so amusing to listen on their lovey dovey sweet nothings. | bishopawn
01/4/2005 18:30 | Celtic - fair point. The worst thing about investments in shares like this is the wait and lack of newsflow. Some are in on the back of the Futuregene experience. Remarkable indeed but not likely to be repeated. That said I hope the business to be acquired will be in the growth sector e.g. resources/biotech/te | sharebuff
01/4/2005 18:26 | Shareduff Nobody is arguing with you, certainly not me. Leo & Nigel first got involved with this particular shell in Nov 2003. The original master plan / acquisition failed. I posted on here just a few days ago that a suspension was always a possibility, so I can hardly argue that point either. I believe these type of deals aren't as easy to pull off as they were perhaps 2-3 years ago. If they were easy then one would surely have been done yonks ago....'cause like you say that's how Leo makes his money. | celtic ii
01/4/2005 17:47 | Celtic - its not a ramp, merely intelligent supposition. Afterall the Company has already stated in an RNS that it is seeking an acquisition so that bit is true. As for suspension if the asset being acquired in greater in value than the aquiring company then it constitutes a reverse takeover and probably suspension. If you think this Company is all smoke and mirrors how does that square with the large Director shareholdings ?. They are in this for a reason, its a cash shell afterall. Whilst it is dormant its not benefiting anyone. How many cash shells with the calibre of these Directors actually flop ?. If it fails then they don't make their money, simple really. | sharebuff
01/4/2005 16:32 | Great idea for a new header for the thread !!!! ADORIAN (formerly OAKGATE) OAKGATE(fomerly PME) - Heading towards £1 (ADP formerly OKG formerly PME) | uppompeii
01/4/2005 14:47 | Yeah, yeah we've heard it all before Sharebuff..... that's what was being posted on here 15 months ago in Jan 04 when Company changed name to Oakgate....... and the subsequent rumours of an acquisition deal with some Philippino outfit....which never materialised. | celtic ii
01/4/2005 13:14 | next stage is an acquisition and possible suspension depending on size/type of the deal. | sharebuff
01/4/2005 10:56 | Anyone starting a new thread ? | leadersoffice
01/4/2005 09:37 | Prices now showing under new epic ADP for those interested. | celtic ii
01/4/2005 09:29 | What's a happening ?????? No prices showing.........has it been suspensed ??? Surely not, otherwise there'd have been a RNS saying so. Or has it changed name already ??? ....if so anyone know the new epic ???? bp...no...not a rollover trade yesterday. | celtic ii
01/4/2005 00:00 | Futuragene in 2003 was in the 3-10 pence range, before hitting 50 pence prior to a suspension lasting several months. Spring 2005 it came back and immediately went to £1 and thereafter in a matter of a month or so hit £1-90 and then peaked at £2-20. Currently £1-80. I am happy to leave it in Leo and associates' capable hands to do a repeat performance, if not a better one. | bishopawn
31/3/2005 19:07 | An extract from iii on cash shells (generally cautious but narrative below highlights recent success stories)............ "One attraction of shells used to be that companies could come to the market via a reverse takeover by a shell with the minimum amount of scrutiny of their business. That is really no longer the case. Listing rules now require full prospectus type documents for anything smacking of a reverse takeover. Having said all that, recent shell deals have provided something of a bonanza for shareholders. Zetar raised money in January 2005 at 100p, recently completed a reverse takeover, and currently stands at 305p. Augean floated at 125p in September 2004, and acquired two hazardous waste businesses in December. Its shares are currently 268p. Vert-eco, which floated at 5p in August has now changed its name to Hydro-Tec after acquiring an Australian environmental business, and currently stands at 27p." OKG is effectively dormant right now, its not making money for anyone. The name change is a precursor to something, maybe an aquisition/reverse takeover linked to a change in the share capital base. Its been a long time coming but should be worth the wait. | sharebuff
31/3/2005 18:56 | 2 X 10k seconds apart look suspiciously like a rollover? Did Celtic drop them and then thought better of it a few seconds later.......In/Out; In/Out; and Shake it All About. The HokiKoki is back! | bishopawn
31/3/2005 18:52 | Yep, nervous disposition as I thought. | bishopawn
31/3/2005 17:40 | The guys running this shell will use every trick in the book to extract value and make themselves money. Name change, possibly suspension, acquisition news etc. Create a new brand, stimulate investor interest and therefore a share price rise. It won't all be based on fundamental value, smoke and mirrors come into play too. I'm in because they are good at it. | sharebuff

31/3/2005 08:21 | I'd change broker..... | bridggar
31/3/2005 07:52 | bishopawn - 35,000 at 25p guilty, it was me !. Yes, over the offer price I know but my rationale is simple: The guys running OKG have track records and if anyone can 'relaunch' OKG into a highly profitable enterprise then they can. As a shell OKG also appeals as having a low share capital base and low market cap - ripe for mainpulation !. True, I could have bought in sub-20p a few months ago but I wanted the certainty of progress and not money tied up for years in a dormant shell. Now it seems the wheels are begining to turn. I'm not a long term holder but am taking a six month view and expect a minimum of 40p equivalent. You might be interested to know that my broker described OKG as 'illiquid' and the initial MM quote was at 30p for 35,000. I declined this and got 25p through persistance. keep up the research folks. | sharebuff
30/3/2005 22:52 | Adorian - could this be a clue? | sandbank |
