STOCKHOLM, April 1, 2021 /PRNewswire/ -- Finnish Transportation Infrastructure Agency (FTIA) has appointed NRC Group Finland, a company wholly owned by NRC Group ASA, to a contract for rehabilitation and upgrading of the Joensuu railway yard in Eastern Finland.
The main part of the contract involves construction of 2 km new track and renewing of 19 km old track, including electrification.
The contract is valued at approximately EUR 42 million, and will include rail services such as track, electro, signal/telecom and groundwork. The work will commence in May 2021, and is scheduled for completion in December 2023.
Closing date for submission of complaints is 14 days from today, and formal contractual signing can take place after this period at the earliest.
