The normal group of pikey types were drinking and smoking outside a Wetherspoon , but one of them obviously found the prices a bit prohibitive. 08/10/2011 10:32 | I started 5 gallon of 6% ginger beer earlier this week. Someone gave me a bottle of Crabbies Alcoholic ginger beer, it was incredibly sweet. I decided I could do better. When I was a kid we aways had some ginger beer around. Usually homemade but sometimes manufactured stuff. It had a real bite, never seemed sweet. All the modern stuff is awfully sweet. Is it just that I never noticed how sweet it was or have my tastes change. Anyway for nostalgic reasons homemade alcoholic ginger beer.Hopefully it will turn out dry with a proper bite. | sg31 |
