30/1/2003 09:11 | OK - I admit it, after yesterday's widening spread to 15-20, I was perhaps suckered into letting the mm have 10000 @ 18.25p today.Interesting in that they disappeared without a murmur and with a 0.25p price enhancement.I hope that perversely that sale will now flush out better news for the rest of my holding!Rickster:- I bought back into DNX @ 11.32p yesterday - surely has to be right with the oil price being so strong. | skyship
29/1/2003 14:31 | What a boring market all round, this thing doesn`t help no deals and down, adjusting the spread? | oldolie
29/1/2003 13:59 | Not heard a thing but it looks like the maket may have heard something negative! I believe Goldfinger has it as a buy/hold, but that was before todays drop. later Rickster | rickster
17/1/2003 16:49 | would be interesting after a long spell of 'nothingness', been holding these for a long time now, be interesting to hear what this 'Goldfinger' has to say.........be nice to be genuine. big chunk moved today.......takeover would do nicely | jasonge
15/1/2003 18:25 | Anyone heard anything about HNN takeover/buyout ? A "Goldfinger" is still tiping this eventuality I believe. | airrage
15/1/2003 16:38 | Thanks Skyship later Rickster | rickster
09/1/2003 00:52 | hay Norm , what you up to now mate -up a bit? | oldolie
08/1/2003 17:17 | Skyship Thanks - I will have a look later and let you know what I think. What is the Scapa epic code? later Rickster | rickster
08/1/2003 16:23 | The volume throughout this recent fall was so low I had thought of putting in a cheeky bid @ 17p for that stock sold @ 16.2p the other day. Sort of trade Airrage seems good at, remember his timely sales up in the high 20s. Do you suppose that 3266 @ 16.5p could have been a BUY? Anyway, nice to see more blue. Rickster - have you looked @ Scapa? Have posted my thoughts today. | skyship
08/1/2003 13:21 | is it the MM's playing games? No announcement I'm aware of. Would be nice to go above 20p again though! later Rickster | rickster
01/1/2003 15:39 | Rickster - A good December thanks mainly to DNX (for the timebeing sold out @ 13.1p) & GFRD which has started to move better on the Daily Mail's New Year Tip. HNN rather letting the side down, but I can't imagine them being in really serious trouble. I think we have to be resigned to a move into losses and a passing of the final dividend, but surely the high asset value and the prospects of recovery will limit the fall. Also the status of the business was well known back in september; and if trading was that bad surely they would have passed the interim dividend! | skyship
19/12/2002 17:31 | Skyship Glad you are still into DNX as well (have seen you post there). I really think it'll be a great share next year. In fact if HNN went back anywhere above 20p I would consider selling at a loss to buy more DNX. I don't wanna sell these below 20p though. If I get out now it'll be just my luck that they do get taken over!! later Rickster | rickster
05/12/2002 11:10 | Im amazed that this share has paid 2.2p dividend over the last year. Thats 10% on the present price. Having a look for undervalued stocks or recovery plays I have seen HNN. What do the chaps on the board think? + Having a look at GDWN as well - any comments? | pdyke14856
05/12/2002 10:24 | Firth Rixson shareholders thrown a lifeline today - do we think the same may happen to us one day? I know the FD of a similar company to HNN - he reports that profitability is dire as they are bidding on contracts with nil margin purely to pay the overheads and survive on customers tender lists. Business is in the small general engineering sector is all about cashflow and survival rather than profitability. He is optimistic however, because as long as a company has some niche status, then repeat contracts will be at far higher margin as competitors fall by the wayside. So, though things may be bleak for HNN this year, a recovery next year is quite likely to be on the cards - regardless of the overall economy. | skyship
05/12/2002 10:23 | gone very quiet again, no news?-Rickster when did they go exD for your divi, i bgt 13th Sept this year-i guess i was too late | oldolie
07/11/2002 11:22 | received my divi yesterday. To date they've almost made up the amount I am down so almost in the black!! Good solid stock, but IMHO will not go anywhere fast without news - not big enough or fashionable enough to catch peoples eye unless something happens .e.g. management buyout or takeover later Rickster | rickster
06/11/2002 13:32 | same question again up 5%-? | oldolie
29/10/2002 09:44 | yep, a little bit in the Press always works wonders, it could do with a head above the parapet from the boardroom | oldolie
29/10/2002 09:37 | well it's all very quiet again! I guess we'll have to sit back and pick up the divis. The share price seems static so unless we get a takeover or management buyout things don't appear to be moving! later Rickster | rickster
15/10/2002 10:10 | no news no share buying/selling is it still alive? | oldolie
09/10/2002 16:09 | not a lot from this one lads, could do with a ramp or two maybe, come on Norm, 30p by Friday | oldolie
30/9/2002 21:05 | my dads upset cause HNN has gone from his Ceefax share page any explanations? | dupreesdiamondblues
27/9/2002 11:37 | Rickster, I had been watching HNN for some time and was waiting for an indication of a positive outlook at results before buying. Needless to say, I was quite shocked by the negative sentiment portrayed and didn't buy - but what you say could well explain things. Not the way to go on though, IMHO. | wirralowl |
