31/3/2004 11:03 | No problems Pat. Two ticks up now. Good spot. Much more to come I think - looks well undervalued because it has been well overlooked!! | foster8
31/3/2004 10:28 | Hi Pat I see your stock has turned Blue! Another well timed thread, as ever, but I will be happy for less than your usual 300% this time ;o) MrP | mrjasonp
31/3/2004 09:49 | I apologise for the faux pas foster8, Now added to header. Surprised that HNN does go so unnoticed, they really are a good company going in the right direction. Regards Pat | business link
31/3/2004 09:44 | Divi 1.2p per share due. I see Westcombe Investments Ltd have been stake building. Obviously see these as a good bet. Anyone know who they are? | foster8
31/3/2004 09:42 | Results look good, Business Link, & with the acquisition strategy these could be a good long term play. Not a lot of BB activity, so I guess not too many people know about them? I was going to ask about dividends, but will look myself (lazy git!) Thanks for the thread BL - highlighted these to me a a good potential buy. | foster8
31/3/2004 09:30 | HNN Norman Hay announced today results for the Year Ended 31.12.03 Key Points :- Profit before Tax - £866k on £16.3m Turnover EPS of 5.8p Representing a P/E ratio of only 6.81 P/E Growth of 9.45% NAV of £6.63m against a Mkt Cap of £5.69m representing a discount of 16.6% Dividend of 1.2p/share Payable on 23rd July to all Shareholders on the register on 25th June On 2004 Group Chairman Peter L Hay commented "Trading in 2004 started satisfactorily, both at home and overseas. We are seeking new areas of opportunity and investment to enhance the underlying strength of the Group" With solid profits at high margins, coupled with a greatly reduced cost base and the cash available to make further growth enhancing acquisitions it is My opinion is that HNN represents one of the best plays in its sector. | business link
30/9/2003 10:38 | dmhzx I wasn't inferring it was nice to see them getting shares at a discount! I was implying it was nice to see directors increasing their stake in the company and therefore their vested interest to make sure it does well. If they thought the outlook was poor I am sure they could have found better places to put their money! Without knowing the detail there may have been some incentive in place whereby the director could exercise the right to buy at an agreed price. later Rickster | rickster
29/9/2003 17:49 | It's not nice at all, it's a bloody disgrace. Why can directors wives buy shares at 32 when everyone else is being asked in the region of 37. At the very least this is a 10% discount (if mortals can buy at 35) , and probably more like 20%. Mind you, not as bad as one company recently where the dirctor was able to buy at .99 p when at the time the published spread was 2.5 - 3.5. | dmhzx
29/9/2003 15:54 | Nice to see some director buying at 32p. Shows confidence in the 2nd half year which reflects the recent interim statement regarding improving expectations. Confident I will see my 36p target before too long! IMHO, DYOR etc etc later Rickster | rickster
22/9/2003 13:39 | Interesting that the price went to 33p then back to 30p then back up to 33p again on hardly any volume. Wonder if the drop was to shake out weak holders before it carries on up? Still sticking with my 36p target although if it looks like it'll go higher I will try to ride it and have a very tight stop. later Rickster | rickster
09/9/2003 14:59 | and me, well some anyway | oldolie
09/9/2003 13:44 | And further she goes???? Wish I'd topped up at 15p now!! Target of 36p to sell for me. later Rickster | rickster
08/9/2003 17:04 | Very interesting. Speculating I'd say there is either news about to come out or a big buy in the pipeline that will get reported after hours?? later Rickster | rickster
08/9/2003 16:29 | just added a few tho`- summats up!!!!!!!!!!! | oldolie
08/9/2003 16:15 | up17.5%- and frankly i don`t give a damn why- it just is | oldolie
01/9/2003 13:35 | If the truth is that manufacturing/engine | oldolie
04/8/2003 09:17 | At last I am in the black on this share!! Can't see any reason for the rise but does anyone know when the next results are due? later Rickster | rickster
07/5/2003 22:03 | rising nicely of late. Up from a low of 15p not so long ago to 25p now - that's a fair recovery even in the current market. I wonder if the MBO rumours are around again?? I certainly hope so but have to confess I have heard nothing so DYOR later Rickster | rickster
10/3/2003 11:24 | Not heard a thing ???, would be good to know what is going on.. nice to see BISI have a little increase & put out some good reports, I bought a few when there were rumours of a takeover, & held on when this rumour was quashed !!! they have done nothing since, until now | jasonge
14/2/2003 00:20 | Has anyone heard anything of the extent of the damage last week? | skyship
07/2/2003 00:45 | Now we get a factory fire. Presumably no casualties at that hour of the morning and hopefully none among the fire services and local neighbours. Now we have a major interruption to that division - I hope all insurances including consequential loss will cover the losses. | skyship
05/2/2003 11:07 | Skyship I have been tempted to get out of these several times and stick the money in DNX, but I know the minute I instruct my broker to sell someone will announce an MBO!! And probably announce that Dana have been drilling muddy water that they thought was oil!! Will hold these for now and add more to Dana as and when funds become available. later Rickster | rickster
30/1/2003 14:11 | There she goes - a BUY of 25000 @ 19p. Fascinating, as it is exactly the same pattern as this time last week. 10000 sold @ 18.5p followed almost immediately by a purchase of 25000 @ 19p. So, someone is prepared to be patient and take stock as it comes at these levels. Maybe not a lot of money, but it is significant for a company of this size, in an appalling market and after the directors caution on prospects. Any views anyone? | skyship |
