Share consolidation is a cunning trick to get rid of private investors. As far as I know I will have zero share left after another one of this type of consolidations.

AW,
So they can sell it to you? just keep averaging down. no one's buying this stock. this has proved to be a bad investment for you and everyone. And dont tell me its a contrarian play, an overlooked gem, a couple of market stalls have a bigger turnover than this. certainly a bigger profit. Where are all the institutional investors? why are they not taking a stake in this unloved gem? because it isn't one. Dwindling turnover, no profits, no directors buying shares, and you still haven't seen the light. still, its your money.

Of course it is nicely chilled.

It was bad timing the panic over the US which caused a drop in the share price Although I want to see the results I agree that next week would make more sense as people are edgy at the moment.

Apparently there are a lot of investors in the city sitting on cash looking for a good home for it having got out of the more risky shares. Maybe they will like NTY once the turnaround is confirmed by the results.

I cannot see the results being bad we have already been given a flavour of the good news in this years news releases.

Bit more patience

Hi AW,
I'm very pleased it held today after the big rises recently.
I'm also convinced we are going to see a significant rise before results AND upon results, how far, I just don't know.
I agree with you with the blue, although i'm not sure we'll get any more news before results - it'd be a bonus if we did.
I do believe though that the strength of results alone will be enough to catapult this stock from where it is now because it's been whittled down to the the bone SO much over the years.
The capitalisation of this company is peanuts, so, in a sick and twisted way, the pain and stress endured by shareholders over the years will actually benefit the share price NOW from it's current sorry position....no comfort for those bought in the heady days of 1999 and who didn't average down, but great news for new investors (you) and those that DID average down (me).

I am very confident, so confident I parted with money ... ;o)

Good luck

Still low level trading here, but just look how volatile it is !
If something is gearing up here, then this should rocket on concrete news.

This is just my own opinion from sitting here and watching this share over the years. It feels rosier than at any point I can remember since my first purchase in 1999. I admit, we're not at a earth-shattering explosion moment here, but in context of this share, I feel a pivital moment is approaching and I am suggesting that several other investors are feeling the same thing and are making tentative dips into this share. I believe that the chequred history of this share is determining the lower-levels of investment at this time, but when the actual results/prospects are released, it'll be a free-for-all.

I'm in, for the record and have recently topped up.

All my own opinion, grateful for other views.

Good luck to all

AW,
I dont have the same feeling about this one as you. Call it intuition...or historic failings that put me off investing in NTY. Im happy to be making money elsewhere. No one is making money here. Liquidity problems, lousy spread, nms, all add up to an investors nightmare, hence nobody's buying any of this stock.Ill wait for the figures, but i wont hold my breath. Ill leave this one to you. Better fish to fry elsewhere. Good luck. H.

I am a lot more sceptical than AW, but have to agree with her/him(?).

The future DOES look a lot better, the recent NEWS has been good, yes, not in pounds and pence, but still GOOD.
Having sat here and experienced so much bad news over the years, it's becoming obvious that they have finally turned the corner and the future is looking bright (to quote The Mavericks).

We all know how much stock the directors have to themselves (circa 50%), so the remainder will be fiercely fought over when it is generally accepted that these shares are worth having. I believe the results due in May (was it?) will be the watershed on this share and the good times will roll for the patient long term investor ....i.e. ME!

Thanks for your continued input AW, it's nice having a positive input on this thread after years of doom & gloom.

As always, everyone should do their own research into a shares before buying/holding/selling....and everyone has a right to an opinion.

Good luck to all

In posts 39 and 41 I did say that the rise was out of all proportion to the Volume and the news so no one should be surprised to see it fall back- I can hear the MMs singing we march them up to the top of the hill and then we march them down again Buying equipment cheaply ,if that's what they did, is not the same as making a profit and that ultimately is what drives valuations.

I am not saying NTY is in poor shape I just can't believe how often investors get sucked in just because the price is moved up - share price movements on the back of virtually no volume at all work both ways.

BB,
nice new chart. im looking for a plastic bounce to finally dump this cr@p. as for raising money, NTY has no chance of going to the market with a begging bowl, no institutional investors tells you everything you need to know. all the best with your investments. im getting ready for another bash @SGP on monday. :-)

It's a pity nobody seems to want to buy out this company. I'm convinced it is being hindered by it's past performance and it's name. As the vast majority of the shares are held by Directors and tightly-held investors, then I see three options :-
1. Directors et al agree to buyout (good news, dependant on valuation)
2. Directors take Co. private (bad news)
3. plod on (? ..who knows, SHOULD be good news but it needs a kick up the jacksy from an external source [press])

I really thought a trickle would begin after results (this company is now making a profit for god's sake !!!!), resulting in a significant rise in share price

I'd need a 4-bagger though to cover my losses on this one, but I can't quite see that happening soon.

Never mind, in (no choice) for the long-term.
