Let us see what happens to share price on Monday. From what I can see then many NX WM seem to be running normally today - so drivers in a 'hurry' to get back to work .... Although my opinion of the local NX WM bus services is that they are cr@p then have to give credit to NX UK coach operations. Used to use the overnight coach service to Glasgow, have a morning meeting there followed by pub lunch, then after coach back down. Never had a problem - coach always on time and clean ....

Bus drivers at National Express West Midlands have voted in favour of the latest pay deal - bringing an end to bitter industrial action. It means bitter strike action will officially end from from Sunday March 26 now that drivers have accepted the pay deal.

I'm impressed I got recommended to Mrs Tina here. Tina is very sound in analysis and her service delivery is top notch. Her tea leaves & crystal ball say NX WM buses will be running 'normally' on coming Monday :-)

Lot of these buses out of place is due to over restrictions put on the roads...cycle lanes, roads dug up, etc etc etc...then there is over expansion of high rise building and properties...don't know what roads in your areas are like but around my area too many pot holes and roads cracking up...all these roads will require re surfacing which means more traffic jams, diversions and temporary traffic lights ...the usual bus saying...you wait for a bus and none comes along...then 3 come along at the same time...

Livewire, it sounds like very poor local vehicle management in Brum. The chances are they have rigid protocols that perhaps ban buses overtaking those which are timed to run in front of them? The usual common sense thing is to leapfrog the bus running in front of you so that it can make up time, and for the late bus to ignore stops until it has caught up with it's time table. One does get some dreadful 'jobsworth's' in some industries. The management should be replaced if they can't or won't do the job.

Decades ago I spent a summer driving buses in Oxford, on some routes there 3 mins and 4 mins spaces between buses, and the drivers simply sorted it out by themselves. Oxford being very congested it required a certain flexibility to catch up to the timetable as best you could.

£2???

With the industrial action and overheads, I can’t see NEX getting close to £2 by 2026, I hope I’m wrong.

When you factor in the debt and the debt risk, £2 is even further away.

It wouldn’t surprise me if it fell below £1.10 again

You mean some sort of price sensitive news coming?...hope to the upside...or equally they waiting to buy in cheaper?...

Post 2463...yes increase the fares...learn the tricks from supermarkets...supermarkets are very cleverly using inflation to get customers accustomed to paying higher prices for food shopping...

Re director deals - see both waysNot ideal but could be indicative of sensitive unannounced news

Must be 10-15m on the WM Bus wage bill, but presumably they have the go ahead to increase fares to at least offset

Looks like good news. If customers have got used to buses, keep them happy and off the railways. Hope it's a yes.
