Posted at 22/10/2009 21:39 by hatto RNS Number : 9070A Namibian Resources PLC 19 October 2009 Namibian Resources Plc Progress Report Since the end of the financial year on 28 February 2009, the Company has maintained its equipment and carried out geological studies to refine the geological model of the Pomona area and its diamond deposits. Over the last several months, the diamond market has stabilised and rough diamond prices have risen overall due to a shortage of high quality product in the size ranges produced by the Company. Throughout this difficult period, the Directors have continued to finance the Company with unsecured, interest-free loans. The Directors are now pleased to announce the following actions. (1) The Companys wholly owned subsidiary, Sonnberg Diamonds, is shortly to re-commence production on a limited scale on identified resources. (2) An additional profitable local producer has been identified and negotiations with a view to acquisition are continuing, subject to finance. Further information will be announced as soon as possible. (3) Subject to finance, it is the Companys intention to purchase further equipment for Sonnberg to increase previous production levels and to enable simultaneous mining and sampling. (4) Finance by a placing is being sought from Institutions and sophisticated investors to fund increased production. Shareholders will be informed of progress in due course. ======== Good evening everyone. A pretty positive RNS I thought & one that brought about a 200,000 Buy @ 3p (Full Ask) yesterday. This BB is so quiet, almost a waste of time having one. |

Posted at 01/1/2008 20:00 by hectorp any co that offers a share offer to Directors only, at a discount to current price, is not worth investing in. to call their attitude to investors as dismissive, misses the mark by a factor of 5-10. Their attitude and view of investors, is 'fodder'. |
Posted at 26/11/2007 23:56 by maxmol INVESTORS CHRONICLE - 2 November 2007Written by : Nigel Bolitho NAMIBIAN RESOURCES STARTS MINING AGAIN. " Namibian Resources " share price has halved in a year yet it`s prospecting and mining one of the richest diamond areas of the world the " Sperrgebiet " area of southern Namibia. The area was closed off by the Germans more than 100 years ago and stays closed, but Namibian Resources has exploration and production rights over 120 sq. km. and has been given other areas to prospect. But little has been going on recently. In March 2006 record rainfall turned a desert area into a giant lake and it has taken a year for the sand to dry out. Secondly the diamond area is made up of pockets of diamonds and, unusually consisting just of diamonds and quartz with none of the usual indicator minerals such as garnets to be seen. And with soft sand hampering diamond production, much of the last 12 months has been spent prospecting and sampling. But there has been more action in recent weeks. The company is now concentrating on the Salzpfanne prospect where a separation plant will be sited. Namibian is confident that mining this area will result in "a significant increase in production" in the current three months but it could also justify processing plant there on a longer term basis. On the basis of sample results, this deposit could yield 4,600 carats averaging 0.42 carats per stone. That size of stone is well ahead of the 0.2 carat figure expected when Namibian went public via an oversubscribed offer-for-subscripti even if mining progress is not. Last I.C. View : Buy 24.75p, 10 November 2006. TIP UPDATE BUY ( The management knows that the company needs to expand or be changed. Still a speculative buy.) -------------------- Lets hope a few more people read the Investors Chronicle NBR tip or even read it here. A few more large buys could start moving us forward to where we should be. Remember production for the first 3 weeks of October resulted in a total of 417 carats. This consisted of 888 stones at an average size of 0.47 carats per stone. I believe this is our largest production for a three week period up by 18.5%. |

Posted at 13/11/2007 15:52 by maxmol They must be very short of stock. The new interest in NBR could be due to a BUY recommendation in the Investors Chronicle a couple of weeks ago. I will put it on here tonight what they said about NBR. |
Posted at 29/3/2007 09:59 by hatto Hi blues.....NBR is a small, efficiently run, cash generative, profitable, small AIM listed PLC.The problem we've had is that the news over the past 3 quarters has only been ok & small investors have lost interest & moved on. The share price has dropped accordingly. What we need is an aggressively positive update. |
Posted at 05/12/2006 13:26 by hatto ncp3......I certainly agree with you that there Website could be a lot better. I think a lot of investors don't really understand how NBR operate. |
Posted at 10/11/2006 19:49 by ncp3 At last, NBR has finally received a mention in "Investors Chronicle" (shame they got the area figure wrong, though, as it should have read 10 km by 12 km approx!) - that said, a reasonable volume was traded today and to echo Maxmol's comments, I too hope that the share starts moving up again to where we all know it should be currently trading. The upside to new investors is still huge! NOW might also be an opportune time to update the website with some current pictures! Please DYOR. |
