Boots are bringing out their own brand of the iron and vitamin D test. This is not good for MHC they needed to have deals with other retailers.

I think the point is Covid has generated millions to enable funding whilst new products are bedding in. We all know COVID revenue isn’t the long term revenue plan and wellness testing is the real growth at MHC longer term.
That said the importance of Covid is crucial and all investors should be grateful as it’s enabled expansion without dilution

The S1 spike protein mutates so it can no longer latch onto the ACE2 receptors - hence with every mutation it becomes less harmful - just a common cold for most - but MHC can generate revenue (but little profit) for as long as most people don't understand that.

This makes an interesting read. Worth reading.
It clearly demonstrates COVID will be around for a long time so MHC should do well.
Hoping for a positive first half to 2024.

Id give becks 1m for a 10second promotion on his social media. The share price would rise to 100p within a few days.

It’s clearly the way to go however educating people and changing the go to doctor mentality is going to be task on its own. It will take time and advertising. I’m surprised they haven’t put an add on TV even though it will cost. The impact with the public who don’t realise the test exists would be incredible. Even if MHC spent a budget of 1m to advertise they would see instant sales instore benefits etc.
How do you get real traction other than NHS allowing patients to use Chemists directly or advertising and marketing.
It would be money well spent 100%

I was in a Lloyds Chemist the other day, waiting in a queue due to staff shortages, and someone was asking about Covid tests, which the chemist did not have - I pointed them to Boots to get an MHC one, but the branch in our town has closed, the nearest one is in the next town 7 miles away. Chemists are struggling to find staff, and make a profit, so are closing.

PS. I also bought and did a FIT test 2 weeks ago.
Bought it on Amazon. I wasn’t aware till after that MHC sell the same test I was looking for. Also for a tenner.

In the 2 or 3 weeks I’ve been waiting for a doctors appointment, I’ve sorted 3 tests myself.

I’m glad your experience was good as mine was also. I’m planning to take more as a middle aged person.

I wish to point out the significance of the role of the pharmacist moving forward given our investor meeting hints by Penny.

The government have said that they expect the 7 new things that pharmacist can prescribe for will free up 10 million new GP appointments!

So based on this how many will MHCs new tests free up and how much in cost saving to the NHS will it save!.

It’s clearly a positive sign that the government are aware that this is the way forward and MHC compliance with all the requirements and digital data suggests they believe it also. This would increase the sales of more expensive tests whilst the basic ones will fly.
Boots in conjunction with MHC have the facilities in place and the benefits to the NHS are clear.
I strongly advise people to revisit the investors meeting and Pick up on Penny’s remarks and also her respect to ensuring she doesn’t divulge Boots plans.
Also our share price is stagnant which is totally annoying but we must remain positive as any RNS and we could see a significant move.
The news today whilst doesn’t directly affect us does point to the way forward and deal with Boots paying dividend shortly.

I did my second general health test last week after doing one in May last year. That was £95

I also did the DNA intolerances last week Fri £54. My other half was impressed with the test and asked me to order one for her.

I’ll do a bigger write up on this but looks like I’m now a repeat customer !

What you do notice on the Boots site is that only 7-8 out of the 21 share’s regularly sell which would suggest MHC will either have to complete a deal/collaboration with Boots and the NHS to bring footfall traffic to shops otherwise they would have to consider cutting loss making lines with little sales. I strongly suspect they are aware of this because the higher end new products are clearly not shifting.
Definitely needs a deal done

Morning all
It’s end of January and first month of 2024 out the way.
Hopefully we get guidance from the Chairman or Penny as regards protecting sales of new products very soon. Adam did say in investor meeting Late December or early 2024 so I’m definitely anticipating something shortly.
Any I believe we would already be close to the first six months figures of 2023 already and believe turnover of nearly 2m in January with Covid and new products combined. That gives us 5 months extra. If new tests are gaining traction you would expect a rerate and with increased share price I’d expect the company to raise capital for expansion via takeover rather than relying on organic growth alone.

I calculated online sales are just around £100,000 per month. That’s not great on its own.
If 801 stores average £20 per day for 52 weeks that would be be nearly 6m.

The expansion is clearly in stores. Just d as s a similar calculation with Covid tests.
I suspect the focus on phlebotomy ability will is part of a process to enable end users to gain experience from utilising Boots in store testing services. It’s a win for the user and Boots. The NHS would save millions in waisted hours etc and patients get on the spot results etc.
This would also allow MHC to rake in cash as the service became more widespread and test range increased.

I suspect they are being conservative given the economic environment and ensuring they preserve cash.
Celebrity’s can have a positive impact but equally can demand silly money.
Social media influencers can be cheaper and better targeted to our target market

Solution = pay an A List celebrity to make our products appear trendy. Job done share price will be 50p in no time.

Do you feel a Directors purchase would help.
Do you believe we need to spend more on promotion to convince people to use MHC services.
Do you believe new products are organically slowly gaining traction with further advertising to save costs.
Good figures recently should have pushed us back above 16p when it dropped on 1st half 2023 figures.
What can the board really do to increase shareholder value.
I suspect a better start to to 2024 than 2023 but news flow is slow imo.

Probably need good news from Penny!.
I’d be happy for a steady rise until we hit 20s. Then hopefully good news

I went shopping today and they had a decent range instore.
I asked about sales and the advice was they are selling but not fast!
Asked about COVID tests and they said demand is high still.
The lady said that she guessed most people probably go to a doctor to get the test cheaper so I guess they maybe the general public perception.
I told her I was a secret shopper.
The attitude soon changed and the product was brilliant.
Maybe MHC need to send secret shopper’s around to see how many staff understand or promote the products!.
