welcome burps. i agree with mitu as i tend to stay clear of companies that are new to the market especially the aim/junior, however it does look interesting. I AM SORRY FOR THE FOLLOWING BUT IT SEEMS IM THE BEARER OF BAD NEWS, BUT I WOULD RATHER BE DISLIKED FOR BRINGING IT RATHER THAN TELL YOU THAT EVERYTHING WILL BE OK IN A FEW DAYS. ALSO IT SAFEGAURDS EVERYONE BY OVERTRADING IN THESE MARKETS AS YOU KNOW SOLID COMPANIES IN THE MEDIUM TERM WILL ALWAYS RECOVER. WARNING!WARNING!WARNING!WARNING!WARNING!WARNING! its just a little warning as a storm has been brewing for a while now and i think it might be a category 5! with all the attention being focused on greece over the last month it will now be switch to the usa. the usa will cause a severe shock to the world financial markets should congress fail to agree an increase in the country's debt ceiling in a months time. this was the warning by the imf on the worlds biggest economy to spell out the dangers of failure, which would likely include the us goverment defaulting on its debt for the first time in its history. i am confident that this will be AVOIDED however you have seen how fear rules the markets and when that happens stock prices fall as we have seen over the past months. The demorcrats and the republicans are in negotiations which i think will go right to the wire (i think its the 2nd aug) hopefully something will be agreed well before it gets out of hand....i really hope bao can deliver hopefully next week before all this gets out of hand.....best of luck left it as late as possible in the weekend to avoid spoiling it for anyone. Waslaam....welcome to the stock market, aim stock is the deep end and oil mining and is deepest, but thats where you make serious money. direcots profile looks really good, proved himself good in the past. when new companies float in the stock market specialy aim stock they get inflated too much to suck prople in so they can raise the money, look at kea petroleum for exmaple, pumped upto 30p then dropped to 10p, and sml who joined about few months ago, best to watch it for few months and see what they are upto and what sort of trades going thought, let it progress a little then once all is ok then get in. il put in on my watch list, currently watching kefi.

so it means the dealy of jorc is because there is more iron ore tonnage, thats why taking long to calculate. so its good then, bao could announce around 200mt.

This was a post on BEM board which could be applied to BAO regarding why a JORC could be delayed. I will post only this once here as I am am too busy otherwise and will not respond to rebuttals. I am not interested in discussion board garbage. I am a professional geologist - 30 years at it in industry and academia. I am amazed at the arrogance and triumphant negativism of a few posters on this board who regularly demonstrate that they know very little about the realities of mineral exploration. Mineral deposit evaluation rarely fits into a tidy schedule because it is an iterative process that evolves as understanding of the deposit geology evolves. To produce grade and tonnage estimates requires sampling (drilling and assays). The density and 3D arrangement of drill holes is entirely dependent on the type of geology present. You cannot sample the entire deposit so you must interpolate sensibly between drillholes. This interpolation is entirely dependent on the style and continuity of mineralisation. If the sub-surface geology is complex, then you need to do more sampling at closer spacing. This can take longer than predicted at the outset. The drilling programme typically evolves as the subsurface geology reveals itself. If the ore is homogeneously distributed, then you can have widely spaced holes and it is easier to generate a quick and dirty global grade and tonnage estimate. But, in order to interpolate between drillholes you need to statistically define the 3D spatial trends within the deposit first (called variogram analysis). The interpolation and thus global grade and tonnage estimates (kriging) can only be made once the variogram analysis is completed. This is a mathematically complex analysis that requires a lot of data to be statistically rigorous and defensible. But it must be done to produce a credible evaluation and to go from resource to reserve classifications. Beowulf has just presented excellent results and has a world-class deposit at Kallak. Delays in JORC estimates are most likely due to the size and complexity of the prospect and the need to further prove up the sub-surface distribution and grade variability of the ore body. If it is evident to geologists working on the project that the prospect is bigger or more spatially complex than originally envisaged, then obviously it will take longer to prove up. The drilling programme is iterative and very often takes longer than expected.
