Mueller Water Products Names Jennifer Thomas Executive Vice President - Human Resources

TAMPA, Fla., May 31  /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mueller Water Products, Inc. (NYSE:MWA) announced today that Jennifer Thomas has joined the Company as executive vice president - human resources.  In her new role with Mueller Water Products, Thomas will be responsible for directing the human resources functions for the Mueller Co., U.S. Pipe and Anvil businesses. She will report to Chairman and CEO Gregory E. Hyland.

Thomas most recently was the executive vice president and chief human resources officer for Ryder Systems, Inc., a $6 billion, Fortune 300 company and leading provider of transportation, logistics and supply management solutions worldwide, where she managed the human resources, public affairs and communications areas. Prior to her employment with Ryder, she was senior vice president and practice leader for organizational consulting at Right Management Consultants, where she provided human resources, organizational and strategic planning consulting to Fortune 500 companies. Additionally, she has held human resources executive positions at Diageo (Burger King Corporation), Citigroup and PepsiCo.

Thomas has extensive experience in organizational design, the integration of mergers and acquisitions and labor relations. She also has substantial international experience having managed businesses in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

She earned a Master of Science degree in Industrial and Labor Relations and a Bachelor of Arts degree from West Virginia University.
