RNS Number:9058H Monsoon PLC 16 November 2007 Monsoon plc Recommended Proposals for the acquisition of Monsoon plc by Drillgreat Limited Results of Court Meeting and EGM Monsoon plc ("Monsoon") announces that the resolutions proposed at the Court Meeting and the EGM relating to the proposed acquisition of Monsoon by Drillgreat have been passed. At the Court Meeting, 176 Independent Scheme Shareholders representing 35,657,919 Independent Scheme Shares (approximately 99.78 per cent. of the total number of votes cast) voted in favour of the Scheme and 24 Independent Scheme Shareholders representing 78,319 Independent Scheme Shares (approximately 0.22 per cent. of the total number of votes cast) voted against. At the EGM the Special Resolution was passed unanimously on a show of hands. The Initial Court Hearing to sanction the Scheme is expected to take place on 7 December 2007, and the Final Court Hearing to confirm the reduction of Monsoon's share capital is expected to take place on 11 December 2007. Subject to the Scheme receiving the sanction and confirmation of the Court on these dates, the effective date of the Scheme is expected to be 12 December 2007 and the consideration due to the Non-Family Scheme Shareholders is expected to be settled by 26 December 2007.
