UPDATE - Mandalay Resources to boost 2014 production with C$70mln acquisition of Elgin Mining

Miner Mandalay Resources (TSE:MND) is set to add a third producing asset to its portfolio - as it unveiled the C$70mln acquisition of Elgin Mining.
Elgin's Björkdal gold mine in Sweden is a positive cash flow generating asset and would add 50,000 ounces of gold to the firm's current 130,000 to 143,000 ounce gold equivalent annual production rate.
Mandalay already operates the Costerfield gold and antimony mine in Australia and the Cerra Bayo gold and silver mine in Chile.

Gold, silver and antimony miner Mandalay Resources (TSE:MND) has issued a strong message of intent with a promise to pay 6% of net future revenues in dividends.
Mandalay announced a dividend for its latest quarter of C$0.769 in line with this new policy.

The directors of Mandalay Resources (TSX: MND) and West African Minerals Corporation (AIM: WAFM) will be presenting in London on Thursday the 14th March 2013.

VENUE: Chesterfield Mayfair Hotel, 35 Charles Street, Mayfair, W1J 5EB (Charles Suite)

Broker RFC Ambrian restated its buy advice and price target on Mandalay Resources (TSE:MND) after a record end to the year.

Mandalay Resources' (TSE:MND) maiden resource estimate is even better than broker RFC Ambrian expected.
The company told investors the initial resource estimate confirmed the size and the tenor of the Casa de Piedra section of the La Quebrada copper-silver project in Chile.
