Support is at 90p. Would be a 15 YEAR low. From the depths of the credit crunch!!
Crazy insane market. Madness

Well technically the share price has broken support. And because the share price is at a all time low, there's no further support. So you can understand that there's a few nervous investors about. Let's hope this turns soon.

Whats with the sudden influx of derampers here? Not that it would have any effect on the price but it clutters the board up with useless posts

Yeah but it's still being priced for a possible placing. I don't really see what they're going to pull out of the hat.

Paying the dividend and not paying down debt will be judged over 2 years, when we are advised cash will be under control.I agree it seems nonsensical, I liked the cash but the Sp drop has matched.

Interesting discussion on wake up to money radio 5 about 30 minutes in. 20% payrise hurting and driver shortage tough as bus drivers moved to HGV. Gives indication of short term problems. NEX is a long term play. Unless of course the share price is being manoeuvred for low ball offer.

I wouldn’t trust the directors of Nex with 1 penny. The chair is useless (look at her disastrous track record). The CEO doesn’t know what a listed company is and the CFO should never have been given the job. The 5p should have been used to pay down debt. I’m t would be £30m less to refinance. The stock is so weak they would never be able to do a capital raise now.

The directors in their wisdom perceived paying a dividend to be within the companies financial means going forward so I trust them as they have been more than able over many years until covid/Ukraine struck.

Paying a dividend from this company is braindead. Whoever wants a dividend from NEX is braindead. If management decides to pay another dividend they are braindead.

The allocation of capital should be:
1. Pay down debt
2. Buyback stock

They have just reinstated the dividendIf they felt the balance sheet needed strengthening, they should be shot for doing so - that would be total incompetence

So far, all we have is a share price falling with the overall market.

The market thinks that Nex may need an equity issue. Personally, I think it is unlikely (but wdik). The short% is just over 2%, so the market are not sure either (would be higher if they were). Added yesterday for that reason.

What we really need is a H1 trading statement, due in the next couple of weeks. It is likely any statement will include a note on whether a h1 dividend will be paid. That should draw a line under these falls.

When do management get fired? They are utterly useless. The CFO is shockingly poor. No one can make a capital allocation decision. 3 IR people in 3 months! The latest IR looks like he came out of retirement

@holly
7% div, where did you get that figure from?
You don't instill much confidence if you can't even get an easy readily available figure like the current dividend right!

This has been dripping for the last year, something feels very wrong here.
Last June 268, today barely 111.
Appalling returns for shareholders since covid.
Personally I thought sub 150 was a bargain at the time, now wouldn't be surprised if it becomes a penny share.
And still directors not buying a single share.

Lowest since the COVID dip is a buy on 7% + div alone ? I've been filling boots for the last 2 days hope for nice profit in coming months a just a little patience needed.
