Stewart brings a wealth of experience to the Board of Veritas Investment Partners Ltd. He was the Founder and Chairman of Newton Investment Management which he ran from 1977 to 2002. In 2003, he became Chairman and Founding Partner of The Real Return Group Limited, which subsequently merged with Veritas Investment Management AG in 2004.

Stewart began his career as an Investment Analyst at W. Greenwell, after having qualified as a Chartered Accountant.

Stewart is currently President for The National Trust for Jersey and a board member of VenCap (Channel Islands) Ltd. Previously he has held a number of board level roles over the course of his career, including as Non-Executive Director of HSBC Holdings plc, as a Council Member of Imperial College, as the Chairman of the committee advising the Council on the Endowment Fund and as a Director of The Herald Investment Trust plc. He has been active on the Investment Committee of The Wellcome Trust and on the Investment Board of Cambridge University. Additionally, Stewart is an investor in private healthcare and technology companies in the UK.

I would have been very surprised if it went below the placing price! Under 25p would have been a fairly logical top up price for most that had spare cash

Hey Stu, mainly just holiday time for me and from my perspective the markets can be often frustrating but there is no change in my position and confidence in MKA despite the declining share price I must say, I thought 30p was long gone a few months back!!
