25/6/2007 20:56 | Hi cwake, The chart at the top is only a line graph. If you want to see intra-day highs/lows you need to switch to a graph with bars or candle sticks. With regard to charting (and I'm no expert!) I find it can be useful in timing an entry (assuming a share price is trending). If I may be so bold as to use your trade as an example: it might have been possible to project a line from the last two peaks (sept 11.5p and dec 12p) to identify that 13p might offer resistance in may. In addition, RSI was over 80 and share price above the bollinger bands. If a cautious investor did want to take a position then they might have chosen to wait for a clear break out signal before taking a position. In a similar vein ~10p looked like it offered a good entry point (trend line support, RSI about 20 and at the bottom of the bollinger bands). Of course, charting is easy in hindsight. I'm not sure if you are interested in technical analysis but if you are then I can recommend 'Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets' by John J Murphy. Bit pricey but its the bible of charting. However, if you are investing long term in GEX then Komana might offer the possibility of considering yourself lucky to get in at 13.4p... =) | ![]() serpicouk
25/6/2007 08:47 | I reckon charting is b*llocks and I'll tell you why. The long term chart at the top of this pae shows a peak of 13p around the beginning of May, well thats sh*te because I bought that day at 13.4p and the chart goes no where near that. There....told you it was b*llocks!! Any other lucky readers bought at above the chart price?!!!!! | cwake1

22/6/2007 07:32 | Yep - but the period may be marked by corporate action that would have a very significant impact on the share price | ![]() bongo bwana
21/6/2007 23:37 | Would it be fair to say that a drilling is suspended until October because of the wet season the share price is likely to drift south? | cwake1
21/6/2007 13:21 | tsmith2, Awesome indeed - a key question for Hugh will be to find the source of such high-grade ore shoots. The must shoot from somewhere! From the main intrusive porphory or from another,as yet, undiscovered intrusion? | ![]() pecker1
21/6/2007 13:14 | The results include the highest ore grade mineralization yet encountered on the project, 1 metre grading 733 grams/tonne in borehole KWDD095, towards the southern end of the drilled area. This borehole is in an area south of the main intrusive porphyry body, where artisanal workers have consistently encountered very high gold grades in their surface pits. AWESOME | ![]() tsmith2

21/6/2007 12:27 | Sorry you'll miss the AGM, BB. I'm attending EYE AGM today! Interesting copper find in Canada. On Plus Mkts. see RNS today. Do we have anyone locally in Dublin who can report back? | ![]() valentine
21/6/2007 12:07 | Dont know about that spacer but Hugh Mc is calling the geological characteristics where the magnificent grades have been found as "shoots". I dont ever recall that type of yield find before. | ![]() bongo bwana
21/6/2007 12:04 | We could do with a few more metres of those grades - and if we've found one, it seems not unreasonable that there are more. A nice timely announcement to lift the share price and hopefully sustain it during the wet season. | ![]() spaceparallax

21/6/2007 09:29 | The work and results from Komana East are interesting on a number of levels. Such a scale of deposit is unlikely to be commercial in its own right. However, taken in conjunction with the current work underway at Komana West, it could well be developed in the context of a larger-scale project at Komana West. There is also some preliminary evidence that the knowledge gained from the current work at Komana West adds to the potential at Komana East. This is because these earlier drilling programmes by Randgold were orientated in such a way that they may have missed an important part of the target potential (see side panel). In the side panel The Komana properties appear to have two components to the gold mineralisation: a lower grade north south component defined by the shear zone and a higher grade east west component defined by the cross cutting quartz veins. Any programme drilling at right angles to the main north south structure (the classic approach) would be likely to miss the higher grade east west structure.!!!! | ![]() tsmith2
21/6/2007 08:31 | For the 1st time in I dont know how many years I will miss todays AGM. Its a combination of circumstances that have conspired to mire this entire week for me. Must be something to do with astrology. Quiet unbeliveable. | ![]() bongo bwana

20/6/2007 10:12 | Seems like a buy at these levels then .... I was shocked to see them drop back so much from 13p ... decent buying opportunity by the looks! | ![]() maniac3
19/6/2007 22:36 | Tsmith2, have a pdf copy but cant cut and paste. I am sure that if you contact Davy directly they will make a copy available. Alternatively, the company may be able to make it available. | ![]() mick |
