10/4/2009 19:21 | If anyone wants a pretty quick trade for the coming week look at VGM -- RNS yesterday saying they have received a number of approaches. Traded up to 1.05p yesterday but market cap still only £20million with 5.8 million ounces of JORC resources at the producing Fiji mine where they are ramping up production and need new haulage equipment to increase production. If you can get in quick there may be quite a way to go on this but DYOR as always. Could be well over 5p takeout price but many seem to think 3p upwards. At only $50 per ounce that is close to $300 million / a little over £200 million which would give a share price of over 10p -- it's a cracker !!! 09 April 2009 Vatukoula Gold Mines plc Possible Offer The Board of Vatukoula notes the recent movement in its share price and confirms that it has received a number of approaches which may or may not lead to an offer for the entire issued and to be issued share capital of the Company. Discussions are at an early stage and further announcements will be made in due course as and when necessary. This announcement has been made without the consent of any party making an approach. -------------------- I would think it will reach 3p pretty quickly. | ![]() 1waving
10/4/2009 18:30 | Not going bad at all Stenners. During the year to date I have recouped all losses incurred through RGT and others like IDD, SMR etc thanks to the 2 main Irish Banks which I no longer hold. Have bought 100,000 INM (where I think a story is developing and was reflected in yesterdays buying action and share price movement) but RGT has been back on my radar seriously again since Barclays recent buying action. I saw that patent issue flagged earlier today over on RGT and intended having a real good look later in the w/end. Many thanks for the flag on it Stenners and I will return to you on it. | ![]() bongo bwana

09/4/2009 08:35 | The Coming End of Naked, Pool and No Uptick Short Selling Effectiveness Posted: Apr 08 2009 By: Jim Sinclair Post Edited: April 9, 2009 Extremely Important Be Prepared The end is close for the effectiveness of Naked, Pool and No Up-tick Short Selling There are still extremely large (legal and otherwise) short positions in junior gold & silvers plus junior producers of both remaining uncovered as the ability TO POUND LOWER is coming to an end. The short of gold on the COMEX, the short of gold in everything gold and silver is incestuous. We have differences from time to time in market views, but I believe you respect my understanding of the technical characteristics and mind of the opposition in precious metals. With a maximum of 60 days for comment on the reinstatement of a form, but an effective form, of the Up Tick Rule, cover needs to be accomplished in the next 90 days for the extremely large short position in the modest or low-volume trading silver and gold issues. The short sellers, having DONE THEIR BEST TO POUND DOWN THE PUBLIC COMPANIES TO COVER, now have only one option left. DIRTY TRICKS You will recognize the dirty trick when it occurs. You witnessed it in Royal Gold (RGLD) when it occurred. You have seen it in multiple silver issues. The South African shares have not been immune. No precious metal share is immune for the next 90 days, none, no exceptions Upward Surge From Uptick Rule's Return? By RANDALL W. FORSYTH Barron's Weekly Market's bottoming is a process that can't be hastened by government interference. WILL THE UPTICK RULE SAVE the stock market again? Back in 1938, the original establishment of the uptick rule helped to reverse the 49% drop in the stock market over the 1937-38 period, according to Louise Yamada, the highly regarded head of Louise Yamada Technical Research Advisors.
