27/8/2008 14:25 | Val, TW said the webcast would be today, Wednesday. Am not a T1ps member but I think one or two on this thread are - robbi123 ? I think there are five million plus reasons that Glencar is a strong buy -- but more on that soon. | 1waving
27/8/2008 14:12 | Val, When the market environment is positive then TW's tips web site recommendations can have almost a startling impact on the share price of a recommended company. In the current environment, unless TW gets high on his soap box about GEX's potential I cant see the share price exploding as a result of his assessment. Now, if the Small Company Share Watch newsletter were to make a strong recommendation I think THAT would put a rocket behind the share price but Im pretty sure that GEX is not the sort of firm that the SCSW tends to cover in its highly regarded monthly publication. | bongo bwana
27/8/2008 14:05 | When is this T1ps Webcast expected to be broadcast? Tomorrow? I doubt very much that is 'disconnected' also. | valentine
27/8/2008 13:29 | Consider the following: VERY EARLY Interim results, Significant Option purchases by almost every director. These items of news are not disconnected and are also not disconnected from the potential for positive newsflow in the short term pipeline relating to: Asheba in Ghana, Komana JORC revision, Sankarani update, Probable rather than possible JV approach relating(s) to Komana. Recommencement of aggressive drilling programmes in Mali. NOT a time to sell. | bongo bwana
26/8/2008 14:08 | HmcC triples holding. Harrington 99% increase as have other two directors.. Impressive acquisitions. This is not merely to look good for cosmetic reasons. These are major purchases. +------------------- | Director | Options | Resultant | % of Company's Ordinary | | | Exercised | Holding of | Share Capital | | | | Ordinary | | | | | Shares | | |-------------+----- | Hugh | 2,000,000 | 2,975,106 | 1.09% | | McCullough | | | | |-------------+----- | Kieran | 1,000,000 | 1,001,300 | 0.37% | | Harrington | | | | |-------------+----- | Sean Finlay | 500,000 | 528,927 | 0.19% | |-------------+----- | Philip | 500,000 | 518,750 | 0.19% | | O'Quigley | | | | +------------------- | valentine
26/8/2008 13:59 | Yup, the options exercised also adds 120,000 euros into the bank. Very clear confidence from four directors. | 1waving
26/8/2008 13:52 | RNS on the exercise of options. Thats a very clear buy signal I was awaiting. Dont you just love the infor at | bongo bwana
26/8/2008 13:30 | Would be surprised if he has changed his target because of things changing in the market. It would contradict his investing style as a value investor. | 1waving
26/8/2008 13:16 | thanks val it used to be 28p a while ago ithink , but you are correct things have changed a lot in the markets since then | deka1
26/8/2008 13:06 | No sorry. It was considerably higher before..then those were different times. I want him to ask if they have replicated the 'hotspot' showing 550gpt! Though more, lots more, at 5gpt and above will do! | valentine
26/8/2008 11:35 | val hi do you know his latest target price please, tia | deka1
26/8/2008 11:26 | GEX is an old favourite of TW's. If he has taken the trouble to go to Dublin then he must have a good reason to do so bar getting a nice pint of Guinness. I sense we are going to get emphatic confirmation of TW's enthusiastic musings of two years ago. | valentine
26/8/2008 09:13 | cheers wave | deka1
26/8/2008 09:05 | fire away deka1, no need to ask. | 1waving
26/8/2008 08:52 | 1wave do you mind if i post the RM interview on the mcr board, thanks | deka1
25/8/2008 22:58 | Excellent interview with Rob McEwen. 'Legendary mining executive Rob McEwen has been associated with the resource industry for 29 years. Currently Chairman and CEO of U.S. Gold Corporation (UXG) and Lexam Explorations, he was the founder and former Chairman and CEO of Goldcorp Inc. (GG).' 'RM: Yes, I believe that by the end of 2010, we'll be seeing $2,000 gold, and before the gold cycle is out, it will go up and touch $5,000, and that will be the end of the mania phase.' | 1waving
24/8/2008 16:23 | I wouldnt rule out the possibility of GEX/GF running the rule over Medoro IF their license areas prove to have the geological charecteristics consistent with the Sankarani Project area. | bongo bwana
23/8/2008 17:56 | Guys I think we need to have a closer look at Medoro Resources who seem to have JV holdings contigous to GEX's Yanafolila Project license areas in Mali. What is Medoro's current market capitalisation? Which company's have they JV's with on their license areas contigous to GEX's operations? Do they have lands across the border in Guinea? What is the probability that GEX's rich finds extend into license areas held by Medoro? | bongo bwana
22/8/2008 13:57 | From page 24 of the AGM presentation:-- SANKARANI PROJECT Gold Fields Joint Venture Three licences at Farasaba, Sanioumale and Bokoro with total area of 750 sq. kms Gold Fields intends to be a serious player in Mali Gold Fields earning up to 65% interest through expenditures of US$12 million. US$3.5 million already spent Detailed aeromag survey flown over all licences on 100m line spacing with 50m infills to further define drill targets 12,573 metres of reverse circulation and diamond drilling completed on seven targets 13,533 metres of RAB drilling completed this season. ____________________ The statement 'Gold Fields intends to be a serious player in Mali ' caught my attention. For that to be said by Glencar is quite something in itself but when you add to that the very ambitious and aggressive drill programme they hope to achieve by December as stated in their last quarterly report it does look like we are going to see one hell of an aggressive drill season all round. Gold Fields will be adding reource ounces on a few strikes, particularly on Farasaba and Sanioumale. . | 1waving
22/8/2008 13:47 | Stenick, not the only area that there appears to be a shortage of physical ----- are we in a bit of a disconnect between physical and paper. | 1waving
22/8/2008 06:29 | Looking good and yet the share price doesn't move. Am buying some more for the mid to long term now. At some point they will be noticed and sentiment will change. This is great as a buyer if nothing else. | maniac3 |
