                            PRIVATE PLACING



Minco have completed a private placing of 2,466,580 shares at 5p stg each to
raise #123,000 stg. The funds will be used to pursue exploration in Ireland.



John Teeling and James Finn directors of Minco have each subscribed for 616,645
shares.



After the issue John Teeling holds 1,116,645 shares (2.96% of the equity) and
James Finn holds 741,000 shares (1.96% of the equity).





                  COMPLETION OF MINERAL ACQUISITION



Minco has issued 100,000 ordinary shares and granted warrants over 1 million
shares to Ennex International to complete the acquisition of Irish mineral
interests held by Ennex.



The warrants may be exercised at 5p stg a share for 2 years from 29th July 2003
and at 10p stg a share for a further 3 years from the 29th July 2005.
