Today, we have been supporting our client Metro Bank (UK) to secure broadcast coverage around the launch of its new pet insurance product.

Since the start of lockdown, we’ve seen a surge in new pet owners who have bought a furry friend to keep them company and provide a lovely distraction during the pandemic. Yet, this new wave of pet owners isn’t exactly aware of the unexpected costs of their new family members…

We create a broadcast campaign that targeted this pool of pet owners by crafting consumer research that underpinned our news story. Our narrative looked at how pet owners had been fussing their dogs more than their partners and other family members during the pandemic, yet failing to consider the basic cost of cover.

Our team sourced third party spokesperson, Corrie star and dog lover Beverley Callard, to front the interviews. Alongside being a well-known household name, Beverley could speak from a place of experience having had her fair share of vets bills over the years.

We delivered top tier coverage across Talk radio and 15 regional BBC and commercial radio stations.
