Well they can take it to 90p if they want (shorters betting the share price down)... thats because ECL provisions werent released like the other banks... perhaps they are saving that for H2... however note they said impairments were benign (H1 was £14.7m provisions)...

The best part of yesterdays trading update was that it was clear and unambiguous that the worst was over and no massive losses or write downs expected in Q1..Boring, unsensational, dull but exactly what the market needed stability at the helm given last years torrid events with Covid related impacts on the wider economy...Q1 Highlighted Stability...Q2 Slow return to Growth!..
