Joseph - I rarely average down. I sell (stop order) and bank a profit then buy back in when it suits me. Today I bought back in with a 112 average... happy to hold with Reporting season next week... All banks down today and they always pull them back just before Reporting season so pretty standard and I reckon good Buy opportunities...

Also bought a load more Lloyds today (averaging up) :-)

My portfolio is looking great - so don't worry about me Joseph ;-) Pay attention to your disastrous Portfolio ;-)

Big slump in card spending in January, UK Finance data shows
Borrowing slumped in January as lockdown stopped shoppers using their credit cards on the high street, instead pushing them to pay down their debts.

My colleague Tim Wallace reports:

Spending on credit cards plunged to £10.7bn, down by more than one-third compared to pre-Covid January 2020, according to industry group UK Finance.
The number of debit card transactions dropped by close to one-fifth on the year, with spending down just over 7pc at £47.8bn.
Unable to spend as normal, households have been using lockdowns to pay down their debts, bolstered by furlough which has kept workers in jobs.
Credit card debts fell by almost £3.2bn in January, taking total outstanding balances down to £54.2bn.
This compares to £69.7bn at the start of last year. Debts fell modestly in the months before the pandemic, plunging through lockdowns and only slightly rising even in the peak rebound months of July and August 2020.
In some instances that means people have cleared their debts altogether. At the end of January 2020, more than 38m credit cards had an outstanding balance. By the end of this January that toal had fallen by more than 4m as debts were paid off.

A Central Pennsylvania felon got accused for forgery related to checks. [Legal Monitor Worldwide]
An authorization was given for the apprehension of a Central Pennsylvania woman wanted for forgery.

Lower Allen Township police informed Member's 1st Federal Credit Union fraud investigation department were tipped off on December 20, 2019 almost four months after a check for $1,000 check was deposited remotely by Brian Hill, III.

The check was from the Metro Bank account of 60 year old Yvonette Hill which was then returned non sufficient funds on September 6, 2019.

Brian Hill withdrew all of the funds over many ATM withdrawal transactions. Total loss to Members 1st with fees of $1,050.

Brian and Yvonette were informed and Yvonette returned her voicemail on September 9, 2019, explaining that she was unaware she did not have enough funds despite getting informed by Metro Bank that her account was in the negative.

Yvonette stated she would make payments and talk with Brian about getting the funds in the account, police said.

As of September 24 2019, neither Hill contacted Members 1st, nor was payment received.

Ten-day letter mailed certified and regular mail, the certified mail was returned unclaimed in October 2019. Charges were filed on Hill and she failed to show up for her hearing.

Hill was accused with robbery by deception and bad checks, and a warrant was issued for her apprehension.
