Market collapsed and $ shoot up.

Once can go huge on short Eur Long USD.

Also surprised about the wife, but more importantly, Pion effectively talked both Dogger and Asusasus to bet the house on NMC...one last push to claw back huge losses.
Both now disappeared.

how did your NMC trades work out, I had a look on LSE after the bad news as I knew dogger had bet the farm to get his metro money back (life savings and borrowed funds)?!

I was saying since Oct that the US bubble would burst, I obviously didn't know what the pin would be but said it would burst - and soon. I bought RBS at 180 as that was the effective all time low (200 effectively bankrupt in 2008/9 - bailed out at a fiver by the Govt)(old money before the 10:1 swap)

I was buying all the way down to 179 pre brexet and election as Corbyn would nationalise if he got in (which he obviously non hindsight had no chance of doing)

Check out my posts, try and prove me wrong..!!

How did all my bank stocks do then, I had F loads at that point ???

It's easy to pick up on one thing, I will load up on banks once this looks like it may be plateauing, along with airlines, insurers and plenty of other cyclicals.

I have a spread of stuff, longs/shorts/structured products/and targeted Unit Trusts.

I dont bang on all day about one or two good things - as I don't have the time or inclination. Just closed my NAS and DAX short though - Again..!

I'm fixated with, you called big drop in Oct but you bought £15k RBS that pays no divs and wouldn't recover for good few years. Likes of SR called it short at 195. That's just one sample of your trade, wouldn't want to imagine rest of the equities you bought.

What's the point?

Holding RBS since 180 and MTRO since 200 is not doing OK. I wouldn't want to imagine the performance of your client's portfolio and how you justify your calls to them. Did you tell them no divs this year with straight face?

You called a large drop early Oct yet went out shopping RBS at 180 with clients pension money? Thick? Have you told them they need to work extra 10 years before they can retire?

pion3r, I bought RBS at 180 and some other stuff at the same time, I'm doing ok don't worry.

Clients, yea the 45 million I manage was 10% in equities in 2019. Hit 3 trigger points in 3 weeks, added incrementally and already back above where they started - don't let the truth get in the way of a good story and spoil the habits of a lifetime.

I called the large drop a bit early (Oct) but I called it and the 2018 sell off, I do this for a living and play with my own money for fun. I get the big calls right for me and my clients.

Hey NOV, I've been holding NQ since 8362 and SPX at 2474, three weeks before anyone forecasted recent rally. Lose bullish support at 8580.

How's your RBS? I remember you went super long and moved your hefty clients money at 180. I know you're kinda guy who keeps averaging down.
