SR.... what we all need to remember is that the smartest quants on the planet will be employed by the Fed and by the money men. And they will have a trading strategy that is designed to enable them to profit from a situation that is economically dire. It’s all computer generated and more complex than any of our little minds could ever comprehend. Every move is calculated. Every move will create a perception and psychological impact. It’s why retail investors wonder how they do often buy at the peak and sell at the trough... it’s no coincidence, a computer made them do it.
This is no different. The one stand out that I observed was that the idea of the Fed propping up the stockmarket is totally ridiculous. In which case, the fact people even see that, means it’s what the quants want you to think. So the morE important question is why do they want you to think that?
1. So you invest in the market
2. So you close your short.
Jeez, if it was that obvious and that easy, then everyone from here would pile in long and the fed would not need to pump the thing at all!
