Will be interesting watching the S&P and Dow today as circuit breakers will mean, open, delay and quick suspensions. A full days suspension. That will hit the headlines today and hopefully carry on for tomorrow.

Theres one thing for sure Zombie companies will be allowed to fail. That’s 8% of all businesses. There’ll be an additional 3% on top. Which means say 10% of businesses failing in the short term. Although I’m deadly against it I guess we can say that the airlines will be part nationalised. Unemployment could see a move to 6.5m. Definite recession but how deep?

I’m asking myself that daily. The one thing we do have is the Ftsemib. At this moment we’re seeing a 40% fall from the highs. I continue to monitor the lag and their position. Believe in 2weeks we should be at 4500.

Looks like any decision to bailout certain industry’s could take weeks to even deliver. Means we’ll still see movements down. We could have months of 5 to 10% falls.

"Metro bank officials are moving ahead with plans to address the screaming shortage of testing for the coronavirus by setting up mail order testing facilities for all UK citizens. The service is only being offered to Metro Bank customers so for those that are not already, an account will need to be opened in order to use the service. Customers are asked to send a stool sample by post to the Metro bank head office, or drop their stool sample into any branch. Staff will then test the stool sample and notify the customer within 24 hours of their results.

'Metro are expected to add somewhere from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of tests a week to the nation’s capacity, and 1.9 million tests should be completed by the end of the month', Dan Frunkin said."
