25/10/2007 15:46 | Sorry to have to report Cantor's have a sell order on the book for 142K @ 104p. I expect traders' stop losses are being tested now. Great time for anyone wanting in on this story. There certainly seeems to be an overhang going through the book and I don't expect shareholders will see much relief until that's cleared. However, once it's cleared & if we have some decent interims (i.e. inline with at least inline outlook), I'd hope we'll have liftoff. Could move very sharply upwards then. | marben100
25/10/2007 15:36 | just read the agm statement from 6 weeks ago......unless management are lying the company seems to be doing very very well | taffee

25/10/2007 15:32 | What the ???? is going on with this share price? can't seem to call it at all and just has a mind of it's own. Most days a trickle of .5 or 1 % down with very little trading. MM, we need some good positive from the company...interestin Fingers crossed as I've been holding since pre-results and I just wish....oh well | cheaky monkey

25/10/2007 12:18 | its clear the mms are walking this down.Either its a ploy to crush the share price and get people to sell or they know something we don't. History says they don't but I have rarely seen such a fall after record results | taffee
25/10/2007 10:12 | Have picked up another 5,000 @ £1.051. | dan de lion
24/10/2007 19:51 | One wonders if it is the fact that there is speculation about Ungaro S/S 2008 season albeit the womanswear side that is causing the weakness in MPH`s share price, caused by lack of knowledge that it has nothing to do with MPH(as pointed out by Marben). MPH must by now have a very clear idea about this years likely outcome. | dan de lion
24/10/2007 15:18 | ..incidentally, Spring/Summer 08 order books closed on 15th October, so that's all done & dusted. | marben100
24/10/2007 15:16 | Hi guys & gals, Studying the insert in MPH's AR, it is clear that their Ungaro licence is specifically for MENSWEAR. It also says: "Renowned designer Franck Boclet was recruited in early 2007 as Creative Director for Emanual Ungaro Menswear. His spring/summer 2008 collection, his first for the House, was launched during Men's Fashion Week in Paris to great acclaim." [if you look back in this thread you'll see some rather positive quotes from fashionistas] So, it would appear that the consternation relates to Ungaro's womenswear which is not MPH's domain. Panic over. Cheers, Mark | marben100
24/10/2007 13:33 | share price now less than jan 07, has the company gone bust without telling anyone, or top up time ? (again ) | nardelli
24/10/2007 13:26 | S/S 2008:- MPH AGM statement:- demand for the new Emanuel Ungaro first line, designed by Franck Boclet, has exceeded our expectations." | dan de lion

24/10/2007 11:36 | is emanuel ungaro the same range as ungaro homme | eagle eye3
24/10/2007 10:49 | Thanks Ba5hir useful link. Notable absentees this time are the houses of Guy Laroche, Emanuel Ungaro and Cacharel. Guy Laroche is having a "brainstorming" on its future, so a catwalk presentation at this turbulent time is out of the question, an insider told AFP, while Ungaro sacked its stylist Peter Dundas this summer because of poor results. Poor results from Dundas, Ungaro or both? Being discussed here: | 0o0
24/10/2007 10:41 | Harrison's resignation was obviously quite a sudden thing - does anyone know what caused him to leave? MPH does not have a bona fide FD right now (JH has left the company, MPH told me, notwithstanding its saying that he would stay on until a replacement is found) and that creates uncertainty. It might partly explain the recent underperformance. | pbracken
24/10/2007 10:35 | This article claims that a notable absentee in the recent Paris Fashion Show was Emanuel Ungaro.. one of the brands managed by Marchpole? Also, it gives the reason being that Ungaro has just sacked its stylist, Peter Dundas, this summer because of poor results. ........ Poor results!!!! | ba5hir is back
24/10/2007 10:33 | Debenhams results are out and they achieved eps of 9.3p, and a share price of 106p the same as mph with projected earnings of near 20p speaks volumes. Bring on results had enough of waiting and seeing the drip drip effect. Off for rest of day................. | wbjunior
