Yep set fair i’d say. With so much asset backing and a profitable fund management business and the capacity to invest directly into the pick of the investments off their b/s plus what i think could be a steady flow of profitable exits it looks pretty compelling.

Abstract from Singer Capital Markets research note 25 Nov 2021:

"Mercia has provided a positive update on a number of fronts. H1 adj. operating profit is running materially ahead of market expectations. Another performance fee has been crystallised in the NVM VCTs (£1.6m net). Valuation gains in H1 were better than expected driving >£10m H1 comprehensive net income. We incorporate this into our model, driving a +72% upgrade to FY22e adj. EBITDA (+23% u/l to £3.7m excl. performance fees) and a +4% increase to our NAV. We reiterate our 50p/sh SOTP valuation driving a BUY recommendation (from Corporate)."

What you say assumes there are a lot of suckers out there; that is debatable. It is also highly unlikely that the sort of person who holds shares in large enough quantities to alter the share price believes all they read here.

roddi, misleading comments on a bulletin board can spook some investors into selling prematurely, and if enough people got sucked into selling, then the share price can be dragged down....?

Off topic, the deal between the government and Abingdon Health is looking distinctly dodgy. The way the Abingdon IPO was pushed through before it all went sour doesn't look good.

I see nDreams cementing their reputation with Sony at an opportune time as Sony develops the next generation virtual reality platform, anticipated to launch Christmas 2022. Time for nDreams to develop their blockbuster.
