I find that funny Prambigear talking with jobs and Gates. You have now hit the big time communicating with Avatar and Saul , Grahamite and bargainbob.

Knowing your peculiar attitudes to Duggan, the drunken lawyer, the man with a table leg in his bag, and the like, I thought I would keep my powder dry until I hear more facts.
The indications are not awfully good though, given that the closest ordinary witness to the event said "the bloke sat there with both hand on the steering wheel and they just opened fire through the windows, about 10 shots."

Good afternoon, grahamite2.

Funny you should arrive just as I'm about to take a nap.

#92808 Well, for a start:

- I met the 'sainted' Steve Jobs a few times in the 80's. An ignorant, spoiled child, gratuitously rude to his staff and everyone else.

- I also met Bill Gates 2 or 3 times in the 80s. Absolutely driven. Would promise anything to get you.... but intelligent and likeable all the same.

Other 'luminaries' too...

One of the most enjoyable moments is when Compaq were on top of the pile. They pay for 3 or 4 hundred of we 'intermediaries/dealers' to be wined and dined at the Dorchester (I think it was). As usual, as part of the show, they have a 'tame' big dealer on the stage to say how wonderful Compaq is and what a pleasure it is to do business with them.
On this occasion they had a huge London dealer with a multi million turnover who gave a fairly brief speech that was well crafted but didn't say all that much about Compaq, until the end.
He then ended by saying something to the effect "we are lucky enough to be one of Compaqs largest customers in the UK, so I thought I would share with you all how to be a success, and make a million. Start with 10 million!"

They went bust about a year later.
