If I recall correctly, saul had a near neighbour who used to wash his motor every single day.

I tend to leave mine to our East European friends, of course.

Ah yes the Inset day, or 'IN-SErvice Training day'. I remember it. Not something that was needed in days of old when things were simpler.

Cleaned the motor yesterday for the first time in about 5 months. It's come up lovely. I may even try some wax.

I gather, just a day after the ruling about school holidays, that there is a 'teacher training day' today; followed by two weeks holiday.

You couldn't make it up.

Mrs shorecrab 'lost' a sock down the middle of a double radiator, a situation many will have experiened at some point I'm sure. I fished it out with a stick and with it came a letter - unopened and addressed to the previous owner of the house. (We have lived here since October 1999). The date of the letter was about one month prior to us moving in. With it is the mortgage deed from the bloke's solicitor, asking him to sign but not date it and also get the details and signature of a witness before sending it back asap.
