I wont lie to you, I am most disappointed that the avatar PramBigear was unable to attend the breakfast club and report back accordingly.

Did you see this in the House of Commons yesterday .

"The UK has one of the worst performing currencies in the world, it has a trade deficit of £133 billion, and a national debt approaching £1.7 trillion.
Can I ask the Prime Minister, does she really believe the UK can afford to be an independent country?"

From now on , I will refrain from posting political stuff on this board .d

#88672 Ah. So that's it, is it. You Scots like to believe the sort of left wing pap that 'open europe' pumps out. You dislike/hate us because WE are out of line with European countries?

You Scots desire a country with benefits overflowing, with free university education, free healthcare, free care in old age, free transport, small wage differentials, high earnings for public service, a bigger public sector, bigger pensions for all, and also (I expect) kindness to each other and no limits on immigration. Now I see it. You are frustrated socialists. You want all that, but you know you can't afford it without England to fund it.

I still suspect that this attitude is limited to those few small (but very heavily populated) areas of Scotland where benefits have been a way of life for more than two generations now. However, I am happy to be convinced otherwise.

Afternoon Ava

I haven't actually worked in the strictest sense since the age of 48. Even now, though very much retired, I am not officially retired as I haven't started drawing any kind of pension. Mrs shorecrab is also retired in the same sense, i.e. not drawing any kind of pension.
