Although they may look expensive here,do remember they are at the forefront of telehealth revolution They have little competition in the UK and what competition that exists, is made up of 3-4 small outfits with far less resources than MGPs .As I learnt today, for example, MGP have more consultants than these competitors put together, and MGP are racing away..One of the smart move they have made is to recruit either retired or those close to retirement, consultants.MGP work gives these and the prospective retirees additional income which supplements their pensions handsomely, while keeping them in touch with the skills they might have developed throughout their working life.Smart.

In addition to getting business from the NHS they are also getting work from private hospitals both here and abroad... Australia and Brazil were cited. The technological advances in telecommunications and digital technology is giving them a global reach to their markets which they are not slow to exploit.MGP appear to be in a sweet spot to me.

I for one will be adding progressively as and when opportunities arise.

The new financial year has begun well with Medica securing a number of new client contracts that
are expected to commence in the coming weeks and months and a healthy pipeline of prospects.
The pipeline for recruiting Radiologists in the new financial year also continues to be strong.

Medica (MGP) - a UK provider of radiology services - has arrived on the stock market in style.

Medica employs experienced radiologists to remotely assess human body scans for diagnostics purposes and uses its bespoke IT platform to report its findings. Its diverse client base includes 190 NHS trusts, various private hospitals and diagnostic imaging companies.

Looking at the financials, it's not surprising that Medica's shares were swept up with such gusto this week. The group has grown cash profits by more than a fifth since 2013 and has an operating cash conversion of more than 90 per cent. Plus, more than three-quarters of its revenue comes from recurring sources.

The market for medical imaging is also attractive and forecast to grow to $49bn by 2020, 52 per cent up on the market size in 2014, according to broker FinnCap. Although a considerable amount of this growth is expected to come from emerging markets, western societies are expected to benefit from advances in digital imaging technologies. Meanwhile, in the UK, cost-cutting measures at the NHS are likely to play in Medica's favour as the group claims to take considerable costs out of diagnostics.

IC VIEW:
Without a distinct peer group, Medica is tough to value. But we like the look of the group's market position and cash generation. We initiate our coverage with a speculative buy.

Thanks for starting the thread nurdin. I bought in last week and wondered how long Medica would stay off the radar. I think we could do well with this one.

Thanks Gold Seeker.

Most of those companies that are de-listed and with JPJ seem to swim in clouded waters if one looks at the various comments on several threads on advfn, if indeed they are correct. Not that I would want to suggest any wrong doings in any case.

It is about time the regulators and takeover panel took a serious look at some of these companies imo, as it seems to me there are a lot of small investors that have been (to put it mildly) very upset.

One other investor has also contacted me, so we know of at least two that are invested here that use advfn.

Have you any comments about past actions taken GS?

I am still a holder.

I must confess that i have written them off and have stuck the share certificate in a drawer. The document is more or less worthless following the re-organisation before the de-listing.

Possibly the company may survive and in years to come the document may have considerable more value than it does at the present. I won't be holding my breath though.

I can't help you regarding JPJ as i haven't even bothered looking to check if they are listed.
