Matchtech Group plc

Trading Update

Matchtech Group plc ('Matchtech' or the 'Group'), one of the UK's leaders in
specialist technical recruitment , is pleased to provide a trading update for
the year ending 31 July 2007. The Group plans to release its preliminary results
on 16 October 2007.

The Board is pleased with the Group's performance in the year, reflecting
continuing positive trading conditions across each of the Group's three sectors:
Engineering, Built Environment and Support Services.

Net Fee Income for the first eleven months of the year is over 27% ahead of the
same period last year, driven by robust demand for both contract and permanent
staff. Particularly strong demand for permanent staff has seen a slight change
in the business mix, with permanent fees in the year to date accounting for 31%
of Net Fee Income (2006: 29%). Over the last few months the Group has
successfully recruited 30 graduates to support the continued growth of our
business.

Based on the above, the Group's continuing focus on operating costs and its
single site operating model, the Board is confident that the results for the
full year will come in at the upper end of its expectations.

Nice upturn today - hopefull this will continue to rise till the results on 16/10/07.

27% growth in the first 11 months! Don't see many companies acheiving those kind of figures year in year out!

Definately a BUY!

Tut Tut Dawg don't be silly been here for years have pretty much been there seen it, dealt with the usual youthful optomists that think that they know what they are doing only to see them disappear or use an alias.

MTEC is over valued IMO I would take at least 25% off the current share price

Does anyone know how much appledore cost them?

Market Slow Down...??? Xrail, Olympics, TfL, MP...... there are billions being spent in the UK/London and it is only going to increase as we get closer to the Olympics and beyond..... Matchtech are increasing their share year in year out in a growing market.

Also - it wasn't the directors decision to be able to sell shares.

I'm pretty sure you would have done one by the time these fly.....

Well girls we shall see IMO this is currently overvalued by 25% and the directors looking forward can see the market slowing down, hence seizing the opportunity to 1.) get around the retention clause and 2.) taking the opportunity to dump some shares.

I sincerely hope that in 3 - 6 months time you are all still here and have not disappeared as so frequently happens on ADVFN.

YohY3 - I didn't say that the price will go up by 30% next year - I said the budget is likely to grow 30% on this year.

Well put Relko - this is what I believe to be happening here..... on which side do you use their services?

I would put this down as a buy before the EOY results in Aug/Sep without a doubt I'm not certain what will happen between now and then but I can't see it moving without news.

agin all IMHO

Remember a similar thing happening with ARM in 2001 YohY3
Robin Saxby released equity for a hungry market, provided added liquidity, and the share price soared.
Not to say that will happen to MTEC but there is another side to the coin.
As a customer for MTEC's services, on balance I would be a buyer rather than a seller.
relko - no position

Nope not shorting was going to buy on the basis that the directors should honour the terms of ownership the FACT that they haven't leads me to believe that all is not rosey on the so called 30% premium that you have quoted.

LOL LOL LOL Like institutions never call it wrong!!! LOLOLOLOLOL Nope looks like a suckers share to me! American side of the business flogged off directors taking profit when if they waited three years could get that magical 30% that you mention and a tax free exit.
yohy3

The Directors were allowed to sell their shares because the demand from the institutions was so great it was pointless keeping the Directors locked in for another 6 months. The Directors (plus all other employees) could still only sell up to 25%.

IMO the results released in august will be better than expected and will probably add 10% to the value. Also, Matchtech are likely to be budgeted to grow another 30% next year.... if that isn't good enough growth for you i'm not sure what is!

All IMHO

So they are forcasting pretty much no growth at all then?

Seems a bit bizarre to me.

However, it does make me cautious of jumping in at this price even though it looks to be perfectly positioned for growth
