In my opinion this has always been a long term hold... Sit back, go enjoy yourselves...

Well I wouldnt call £150mn of diamonds in the ground a small resource (particularly with the unexplored potholes etc still holding potentially more resource

But I know what you mean

Not going to happen. However, in this day and age, and with diamond prices where they are, it is not crazy to think a small diamond prospecting joint venture might not become worth several times its current valuation

I suppose optimistically - they have been running for nearly two weeks now, so operationally one would expect the loading, conveying etc is working as no rns to confirm otherwise.

The question is - what rate of recovery are they achieving?

When I get paid at the end of the month... I AM TOPPING UP!

Drew;
Bear in mind the mm's have been taking a lot of stock on board of late.

These are small sales and, in my opinion, of no significance.
I guess many on here will be watching like hawks for any buying pattern over the next couple of weeks....ready to pounce and add!!

The shrewdies will be doing it before then......working on an absence of sellers as their trigger.

As Jimmy G. used to say ...." if you can see the bandwagon it's to late.."

(Now where do i stand having said all that !!!! )

Amazing to sell at this stage. News likely within weeks, and if proven, then the rise will be significant and the chances of getting in quick virtually non existent.

If however, they know more than me and it's all been a damp squib, then fair play to them and well done.

I think this week may be a little optimistic.
I believe there is every chance of an update before the end of July though, recovery rates should be proven and can be confirmed (or otherwise), cost of disposal needs some clarity, and average price per carat of the quality of diamonds they find ... then we either have lift-off, or capitulation. I believe the former to be more likely.

And from the last results:

During the six month period the Group achieved a significant milestone in its
development as it commenced mining operations using its small pilot plant, which
operates two Laser Recovery Units (LRU) at its Grasfontein mining JV at the end
of October 2007. Mining operations were focused on the tailings deposits on
Grasfontein and diamonds have been successfully recovered at a grade which is in
line with our expectations. These diamonds will be sold on tender during the
coming months at the appropriate time in order to secure the best possible
price. As such the Group looks forward to recording its first revenues in the
second half of the financial year.

So looks like we can expect confirmation of first revenues very shortly.
