Music Choice announces major European distribution deal renewals

Music Choice Europe plc today announced the renewal of major distribution deals
with some of Europe's leading multichannel operators.

The new contracts give Music Choice long-term agreements with Canal Digital
(Scandinavia), TPS (France), Premiere (Germany) and Essent Kabelcom
(Netherlands), securing the company's position as Europe's leading digital audio
broadcaster.

Canal Digital have signed a three year deal for twenty Music Choice channels,
with an option for two further years. As part of the renewed agreement, Music
Choice plans to launch its interactive TV application on the platform next year,
after successfully rolling out the service on Sky digital in the UK and Canal
Satelite Digital in Spain. Music Choice originally joined the platform in 1998.

TPS has also signed a three year deal with Music Choice, for ten Music Choice
channels to be packaged alongside offerings currently including VH1, Motors TV
and the Sailing Channel in the TPS Evasion package. Music Choice has been
broadcasting on TPS since 1998, and the new agreement replaces an existing deal
that would have expired in April 2003.

A revised contract with Premiere secures Music Choice's distribution with the
majority of the German platform's 2.2 million subscribers until September 2004.
As well as making the Music Choice channels available in the Premiere Plus
package, the service is now available as a stand-alone proposition in Germany
for the first time since Music Choice launched there in 1997. Music fans can now
pay Euro1 per month to receive 21 Music Choice channels.

Music Choice has also signed a distribution deal with Dutch cable operator
Essent Kabelcom. The two year agreement running to October 2004 makes the
service available to all digital subscribers in Essent Kabelcom's basic package.
Music Choice has been broadcasting on Essent since 1999.

Simon Bazalgette, Music Choice Europe plc's chief executive said, ""At a time
when digital TV platforms are increasingly requiring value-for-money from their
programme suppliers, the renewals of these contracts on reasonable terms shows
that Music Choice provides an important, differentiating and compelling
service."
