And I was thinking Steve's capital allocation was poor...https://www.otleyhall.co.uk/our-storyI certainly couldn't think of a better way of allocating your capital! He sure wouldn't have managed to fleece that if they'd gone with the open a caravan park idea.

You have to wonder about some of the statements the directors made about the number of contracts they had been signing up not that long ago. Invariably a positive statement like that can be the difference between the likes of us selling or continuing to hold. Do we think they were being disingenuous ??

Someone needs to change the name here, it's certainly not pain free for investors.Must be a record drop for a share price!

Why would you ever pay for this when there are free alternatives?

Bonkers business model.

Then you do not understand the legal legislation of Loopup within communicating between countries.
Suggests you read up and then you understand why.
Also nothing is free , there's always a catch.

Let's hope poor shareholders get something out of this medium term ! I still like the company and product but just badly managed . However at this price the upside is tremendous!

High oil and gas prices are beneficial for telecommunications businesses such as loop

Its just a theory of mine with the buy out. I work for a telecoms firm that use loopup as a back up emergency option and the software and support is always decent so I think it's a good product and the share price is not reflective of that. They have intellectual property and customer contracts that are worth something so must be a buy out target medium term and have the potential to fully recover longer term too

If they get bought out for their contracts and they are expected to win 50 new contracts in 2022, which is pretty impressive, surely before they except any offer they would wait until 2023 and a run of contracts are in place? Any short term finance requirements might not even be needed as they have some cash and minimal that now after the 25P placing. One would hope any offer would be much higher than 25P?

I was surprised people on the warning were piling into this at 11p offer

Now 7.5p

It's a shame I would have preferred them doing really well and have a big investment in them than watching this terminal decline

I took the hit on these selling at 25p last year wondering if it was the right move - only noticed as they were on the top losers board. What an awful performance.

I think a fund raising is an inevitability due to profit predictions and the extreme costs the 2 CEOs place on the business. This is made worse when banks are likely to be tightening their lending and shareholders in general are losing appetite from participating in further raises. Who is thier right mind would risk capital on the parasites heading this company?

Last fundraise was on the order of BOI, "raise a minimum of £7m and pay us at least 50%" which they did. £8m still outstanding. I'd be surprised if they force them to raise again so soon.

My £3.5m cash burn in Q4 included a £850k bi-annual loan payment so reduces burn to £2.65m / qtr, which is still huge.

Currently net debt (£2.5m) covenant needs a Net Debt : EBITDA (£0.9m) ratio of less than 2.75 : 1

As at 31/12/21 that ratio was 2.475 : 1 so within covenants

That ratio decreases to less than 2.50:1 on 31 March 2022, less than 2.25:1 on 30 June 2022, and less than 2.00:1 thereafter

I think they are good for funding until (at least) June but the comment "FY22 Break-even EBITDA" will need to be supported by a decrease in net debt at the end of December 2022

The main concern here now is they are unprofitable and will have to raise money. If they can't win contracts quickly and a lot of them then they will either go bust or do a massive fundraising

My paper loss is 93% and like Money I am trying to understand how i got into this mess. I remember a ShareSoc meeting in 2020 when S Flavell was a no show. This lot have an appalling record in communications and i should have learned from this expeerience

Sold out today at probably a 89 percent loss . Only did it to release capital gains loss for this tax year but what a nightmare. Literally one of the only ones I went out on a limb on and out of my comfort zone of sectors that I know inside out. Less on learned . Hope it recovers but literally the worst investment of my life .
