13/2/2024 13:58 | Shouldn't have bothered. talks through various different companies like he knows everything about them when actually in reality most of the important detail was simply just missing and not discussed at all.. Supposed to be a UK small-cap expert or at least claims to be but in his own portfolio he owns Berkshire Hathaway. I think that really tells you everything you need to know about him Lol.. | cfro
13/2/2024 11:50 | I just watched the beginning and the HSBA and Rel comments. I'm not really interested in general US stocks. Hopefully looking forward for a special dividend from HSBA.. | igoe104
13/2/2024 11:14 | Fund manager interview: Mostly international stocks so havent bothered with it but HSBC talked about near the end.. | cfro
13/2/2024 11:04 | Good article on BOWL in last weeks IC that i was reading over the weekend by Phil Oakley. (High up on my wishlist now). He reckons for investors wanting both growth and income it ticks all the boxes. A pe of about 13 and dividend yield of 5%.. I feel the same way as he does because he also goes on to say that with the recent takeover of TEG this puts the spotlight on BOWL as the UK's no 1 operator of bowling centres. Private equity really think they are great investments and he wouldnt be surprised to also see a takeover here. If so then to put it on a similar take-out price of TEG would see a share price in excess of 400p and possibly much more.. | cfro
13/2/2024 08:29 | Love this famous Charlie munger saying. The big money isn't made from Buying or selling, but by waiting.. | igoe104
13/2/2024 08:14 | Lots of funds like milton still having trim, because of continuing outflows. And I see in some cases America funds are buying in. Why is it the British are selling at the bottom and the yanks are buying.. You can see all around definitely a half empty approach to investing in the UK, whilst in USA its half full... | igoe104
12/2/2024 15:50 | Hours late? More like he's turned up to the party dressed in flares and a flowery shirt bringing a half a dozen bottles of Babycham Lol.. These people really make me sick.. | cfro
12/2/2024 15:31 | I see no pants is now holding CER , why am I not surprised. Jump on the winning horse syndrome. He did the same with SUR, he waits for a company too mult bag, then jumps on board to claim the glory... When really hes hours late for the party... But still the naive investors think he's brilliant... | igoe104
12/2/2024 15:12 | Just listened to the PZC, interesting to hear that without Nigeria FX issue, they would have had 9% growth. This is the react podcast. Decent small company.. | igoe104
12/2/2024 14:04 | Just listened to reat investor meet presentation. Specialist cleaning company. Sounds interesting for a tiddler, 87% reoccurring revenue... All these so called celebrities share pundits, always seem to jump on a horse after its bolted. How about recommending something at 52 week lows. Anyone can talk up a company thats already done well.. | igoe104
12/2/2024 13:35 | I see that the you-scratch-my-back- They make you laugh. As soon as any of these small-cap company's have any sort of decent results and these rampers start talking about them. They don't want to know when the results are not so good. They never rate them a "buy" then, of course not Lol. | cfro
12/2/2024 07:27 | Here's the link to the PZC presentation page click the cross at the side, then click broadcast presentation (a simple sign-in using your email) if you are interested. It's a brilliant presentation well worth watching. Not many Q&A's at the end but both the CEO and CFO really go through Nigeria extremely thoroughly. | cfro
12/2/2024 07:23 | What you gonna do with your BBOX holding then? Transfer into UKCM or sell? | cfro
12/2/2024 07:16 | Warehouse consolation with Bbox and ukcm, confirmed.. | igoe104
11/2/2024 19:22 | I've certainly got pzc now in my watchlist. A good to buy when the share price has settled, and hold for 5 years plus... I'll have to check that PZC podcast out tomorrow.. | igoe104
11/2/2024 14:19 | If any company knows the Nigerian market better than anyone its PZC that have been operating there for decades. They done an excellent podcast on results day and they said that they have an advantage over ULVR because ULVR are pulling away from Nigeria and going down the distribution deal road where their prices have to be higher to compensate where PZC deal directly with individual retail outlets. They have increased this recently from 80k to 120k outlets that stock their products. | cfro
10/2/2024 18:13 | I'd do the same, Nigeria is only part of the business, and like you said PZC have decent brands/ products. | igoe104
10/2/2024 13:59 | With the profit warning this week PZC now trade below a pound which is really terrific value when you add-up the worth of their brands.. If i had spare cash i would be adding to my holding here. The time to buy is always when nobody wants the shares and nobody is interested. Folk do the exact opposite of that however and sell on profit warnings, only ever interested in whatevers going up in price not whats going down.. Of course it may well drop much lower still especially if more bad news comes out and that's the risk you take but on the whole you should try to do what no one else is doing which will feel hard and difficult because more folk will not agree with you.. | cfro
09/2/2024 22:05 | Exclusive More big M&A news in the listed sector via React News… Tritax Big Box REIT plc to shake things up and create UK’s fourth largest REIT Exclusive: Tritax Big Box agrees merger to create £4bn titan | David Hatcher | igoe104
09/2/2024 17:51 | The old fool Biden losing his memory. He couldnt remember the French presidents name referring to a past president and couldn't remember who Israel were fighting.. Here we are on the brink of world war 3 and Putin must be laughing Lol.. | cfro
09/2/2024 17:48 | I own a small holding in BATS. If ever there was a sector so disliked, victimised and hated it's this. They are battling huge headwinds that's for sure but the industry will still keep going and still be around in 50 years time. People have a choice and for many that is smoking or increasingly vaping. BATS also have nicotine patches which they believe will be 50% of the business in a few years time.. A pe of six and dividend yield of 10% i don't think you could do worse. Don't expect capital gains but give me 10% gain each year and im happy given the markets right now.. | cfro
09/2/2024 13:40 | Ic podcast. PZC and Bats talked about. | igoe104
09/2/2024 08:17 | I see Mike Ashley continues to buy Boo up to 22% now. | igoe104
08/2/2024 18:52 | Another possible rumour of mondi putting in a bid for DS Smith. Interesting too see possible more consolation in the packaging sector. With SKG merger possibly happening this year as well.. | igoe104
08/2/2024 18:46 | My football Leeds fan mate went to Plymouth the other day, I had to take his lad to training for him at St Georges Park (England HQ) Burton on Tuesday night, along with my lad. Been looking at XPS today, UK biggest pension consultants today, decent yield, ageing population will need more pension advice, company seems to be doing well. Another one for the watch list. | igoe104 |
