I've already sent one in.

I've asked ? At what stage in your investment journey did you start to believe you could become a full time investor, and quit the day job,? Was it planned over time, or was it a instant decision?

Mine was planned over time, but was brought forward when I got the opportunity to take voluntary redundancy and pay off the mortgage, (4 years ago)which made my outgoings cheap..

The more the portfolio grew, the more difficult it became to go to work at manage people and sort out endless problems...

That's an interesting feature there, i might even ask one or two questions myself..

My two investing hero's right now both MA and Lord Lee. So much of my own portfolio is shared with both these investors.

DGE looking like a decent buy at the moment. Quality company going through a bump i the road at the moment.

This is the time to buy decent companies when they are near there 52 weeks lows, most investors only buy companies that are at their ATH, this day of a age,

I've got a few STB which i bought over a year ago at the same time i bought CTG from the proceeds of a last takeover i had. Two of my much smaller holdings along with MANO.

Talking about takeover he reckons 2024 will be the year of the takeover and i couldn't agree more. Havent i been saying this here for the last few weeks..

Looking forward to next months podcast with the CEO of Concurrent..

Not a stock im really aware of, but secure trust sounds interesting... STB looks like a company ill do some homework on, and maybe add too the watch list..

Still no mention of ANP, especially as its one of his biggest holding, and it now seems on the recovery path...

With the drone attack on US troops in Jordan this war in the region has clearly escalated and is very worrying..

My biggest fear of this year and the unknown impact on the markets.

Is the only way to stop the Houthi's with boots on the ground? Looks like it imo, but if that happens then it's WW3..

Its amazing how the twitter herd champion stocks that have already risen stacks a perfect example is SDI everyman and their dog on twitter owned it and were buying it at £1.90 go forward 11 months and a share price in the 60s nobody talks about it or admits to owning it. These twitter boys always have to be on a winning horse and will only invest into companies that have already risen shed loads, they aren't interested in shares at 52 weeks lows which are at bargain prices. 🤷

TON should benefit from the New regulation that all UK Windows have to have air vents attached too them.

SWG is a great example of a unloved share. 3 weeks ago it announced it had won 2 contracts for cyber software protection for a unnamed bank and a 2nd contract for UK government department totalling 4 million. It initially got lots of interest, but a week later a few small sells a day and its drifted back down to square one.

I shop at LIDL's Lol...

It's sadly correct that most investors these days are all after quick profits and it's their guru's that preach that mantra and that they follow like the rebel and Mr Gambler. Anything that's not going up then they sell or are just not interested..

Two examples of stocks i hold talked about here recently CTG and TON. From day to day hardly a single trade but anyone who can be bothered to dig deeper and actually do some research would see that both are actually very good quality businesses but nobodies interested if it's not being ramped and not soaring higher..

Alot of small caps are drifting from the start of the year, it seems not many folks are interested in investing in this area. Volume is really poor, and any small sell gets marked down by the mms

These copy cat brands are not really doing anything wrong though so it serves these brands right for thinking they have superior rights over others..

It's always about what the consumer wants and they will decide whether they still want the brand or the other cheaper options..

As always it's also about price and simply whether likes a product or not..

January has not started very well at all and there is an old saying that so goes January, so goes the rest of the year.

I said this before Xmas but i do think this year will be yet another difficult year for investors. Just hope im wrong..

GRID my battery storage holding has had a shocking start to 2024. Over 36% down on no news. Think folks are worried about the dividend being slashed, but the board announced in November that they were confident of covering the dividend as more extra capacity was coming on-line.

The big question is are folks jumping the gun or some have insider knowledge and are selling before an announcement..

A very unwarranted fall, especially as they are 51% below the NAV, and no bad news has been announced 🤷
