"We expect to report our interim results on 18 March 2025." |
I wonder if the US market will present better opportunities due to its size and if they are looking to open a office and hire a team like they did in the UK and Singapore. |
ST of IC commented yesterday advising not to sell at this level |
If you filer robertbarns - it'll save a lot of screenspace ;-) |
2.25p dividend later this year |
I think what is clear now is the GreenX case absolutely has to hold on appeal and turn into cash . The circumstances are very favourable for the appeal to fail , with the court not even being allowed to review the merits of the case , but only to rule on whether they even had the jurisdiction to hear the case |
New commitments are quite disappointing.
Panthera had a positive update today. |

Sorry, imprecise, but there is a direct relationship (c. 75% of commitments are deployed).
While you’re right that this will vary, the general point remains. If you see this as a NAV growth investment, investment rate is important. In the half year commitments were 25m vs 90m prior year and a model assumption of c 150m. If LCM falls behind the investment rate there will be pressure to deploy and it will be more difficult to frequently raise larger third party funds (another key model assumption) if LCM cannot deploy existing funds within the expected timeframes. |
will we still get any dividend this year ? |
Its commitments rather than deployments which were down . Again this is a very erratic number , if you extrapolate a trend from one data point you will come to terrible conclusions |
Case performance was flagged. However, deployment was significantly below trend and market assumptions (A$90m versus c. $175m for half year as per Canaccord model). If can only deploy A$200m per year the model is very different. |
Not sure what else you could expect after some well publicised losses ...the receipt of 55m USD + accruing interest from the GreenX case will be very welcome and turn the balance sheet net cash . The nature of the appeal makes it very unlikely to succeed imo. If you judge LCM on six months financial performance , whether good or bad , you will make some horrible trading mistakes ... |
There you have it. Pretty awful. |
anyone know when we can expect a trading update / news
share price action does not look good |
I noticed the remaining 30% of the dividend had been credited to my HL account, seems like they managed to get around the withholding tax issue. |
Agree entirely bigbaggy. My delay in replying is because I ceased being a shareholder several years ago when they started punching above their weight. LCM’s reputation and financing costs will also be harmed. Thankfully however they are out of time for an appeal, and presumably will give up expanding with a US office.
