Posted at 14/4/2019 10:33 by bdroop I’d be interested to hear anyone’s thoughts aimed to improve my own understanding why the RNS was issued by Quilter and not LGT in this circumstance. I’m assessing whether to sit tight or redeploy, and hoping to understand whether the nature of this “part 26” is pretty much sewn up at this point even though they require more share owners to fall in line? Here to learn. Thx. |

Posted at 03/4/2019 14:42 by graham1ty I wonder if AFH will come and try to spoil the party ? This price does not feel right. It feels like the Board giving up. If it was sold in an auction, I am sure the price would be closer to earlier highs, the high 30s, or even just through 40 ? |
Posted at 03/4/2019 06:34 by impvesta I hadn't picked that up on my morning scan of the RNSs on Investegate as it is shown under Quilter, rather than Lighthouse. For those, like me, who had missed it here is the link:Slightly disappointing price but a good overall return for me since buying at 16.7p in August 2017. |
Posted at 03/4/2019 06:23 by graham1ty This is well below the 40p that the share price reached on its own last year. There was also an approach a few years ago by AFHP. Would they still be interested ?The bid is recommended, but I do feel the Board could have negotiated for a little more. Let us see |
Posted at 03/4/2019 06:07 by ayl30 Well that came out of the blue! Whilst the takeout price is a decent premium I think it undervalues. Let's see if another bidder emerges although I doubt it |
Posted at 01/3/2019 07:58 by mrnumpty Graham1TY . I agree , dull but solid . However , you refer to " continued selling " . My impression is that , for the last few days , the volume of trades has been quite low . I continue to hold and , although the Company seems to be doing all the right things , the share price has hardly been impressive . |
Posted at 26/2/2019 13:26 by mrnumpty Simon Thompson ( the share tipster of Investors' Chronicle ) is impressed with today's announcement , and continues to rate Lighthouse Group as a " buy " . |
Posted at 19/12/2018 15:58 by graham1ty Why is this getting hit quite so hard ? The share price has almost halved. But that does not take into account the cash. At the peak the Enterprise value ( market cap minus the cash) was £45m ( £55m market cap, minus £c9.6m of cash [ was £8.7m cash in Feb, £9.6m by September). The EV is now £29m market cap, minus the same £9.6m cash = £19.4m So, the EV has fallen by more than the share price, by c55%. Is that right ? |
Posted at 11/6/2018 20:43 by teddy boy1 Still a lot of interest in this share and the write up in the Small Company Share Watch at the weekend has brought it to the attention of a wider audience. Can quite easily see the share price going even higher tomorrow as I believe that with the excellent prospects over the next few years ,the company should have an even higher share price. |
