buywell3 (5230): "Japan sales are just beginning after 5 years in nevernever land"

It's actually "Never-Never Land."

Now, as to the prospects of Japanese hospitals buying Lidco's technology:

Japanese hospitals are paid for each day which a patient spends in hospital, so hospitals have NO INCENTIVE WHATSOEVER to reduce the length of stay.

Reason for selling (imo) and reason it may continue is from the 2017 accounts.

Adjusted operting profits only £57K - Profit before tax £102k - Current market cap £21million - Do the sums !!!! p/e far too high - Would need to have before tax profits of over £1 million (imo) to get anywhere near justifying current share price.

anyone seen any forecasts anywhere near this figure ??

There is a
Rolls and Royce synergy here Royce (Tery O'Brien) the engineer behind
the product, Rolls (Matt Sassone) the flamboyant salesman. Why can't the
blind sheep in the stock market see it???

40 and above monitors per hospitals specialising in cancer treatment could be the norm for at least the Top 10 on this USA list . see link above

30 to 39 monitors for numbers 11 to 20

20 to 29 monitors 21 to 30

LiDCO are going for targeted sales to the biggest USA hospitals with their HUP

What a great idea ....I bet Edwards Lifescience are now getting concerned

Cheetah have taken around 10% of Edwards Lifescience in the last few years , worth around $10M

LiDCO have a better offering with their HUP and better technology also

Within 3 years as of now IMO LiDCO will have in excess of 10% of Edwards Lifescience share of the market also

The Hemodynamic Monitoring market is growing in the USA, worth over $100M now

The HUP should fast track LiDCO sales growth in the USA IMO to between $12M to $15M by the end of 2020

At which point LiDCO profits should be jn the $Millions

Buyers for LiDCO will be making their moves before this date as LiDCO HUP gathers pace and the Hospital data that comes out demonstrates the savings that the hospitals are obtaining from using the HUP and the data also shows less patient deaths, less complications, less time spent in hospital, less HAI's and less litigation actions

One has to remember there are quite a lot of stale old LID Bulls around

Having been at 6p a year back, getting 10p or thereabouts and moving on after a few years in the wilderness before Matt Sassone came on board must have proved too tempting.

However their selling provides an opportunity for newer arrivals to add , what new LID investors are doing is buying into the LiDCO strategy for growth

Which is what the Institutional Investors did when they bought £3m of shares at 6p

Lucky them

PI's always get a worse deal , but in share price single digits with the HUP program kicking of with a 44 monitor deal ... I expect the next RNS of another HUP win will get LID testing over 11p sharpish

I would agree, but this is a different model of monitoring stocking, from my understanding the monitors have been requested by the hospitals and can have unlimited use within the HUP licence

Calm down

There will be more HUP deals done before Xmas

Japan sales are just beginning after 5 years in nevernever land

Plus the NHS like the new monitor .... sales are ramping up in the UK

LiDCO should go over 60% of the NHS market also before Xmas

This will give them a BIG edge when it comes to selling HUP's to USA Hospitals ie

At the next big sales show in the USA in October LiDCO can say that LiDCOunity v2 monitor is the NHS Hemodynamic monitor of choice

A british company making a British quality product using technology co-developed by the NHS and LiDCO ( did you guys know that ) and now the top seller in the NHS Hemodynamic Monitor market.

Nice to see you here hazl

We have had X'd words before but I hope we have both picked a winner here

gbenson is invested in DEMG , who are now losing market share in the UK faster than last year it would seem re LiDCO's increased %age

I'm p'd of with the retail investors in this company, we have had the best news re the success of Lidco and possible/probable future growth in years (i've been waiting for it). Yet investors are selling out in large volumes. I say large because Lidco rarely turns over more than 20,000 shares a week let alone a day and selling out at the lowest of the day WHAT am I not seeing??? Or am I on the wrong planet?

I think you will find SING took that last 100,000 delayed sell, then dropped his bid to 8.75. I thought a big order may be being filled but now it looks like a disposal finding who and why is the question.

From an interday high on 12p a month ago the share price has dropped 25%, I felt at the time and said so, it felt like a p&d which you wouldn't see in such a stock as LID, still investors are selling at 8.8p, I think the shares are now on the day traders list which is a shame.

I agree with you both, BUT Matt Sassone has a great track record in medical product sales again BUT he has to SELL the company to the market to get new retail investors "a different strategy"

Yes gbenson results bring out some sellers agreed and general market sentiment but I think fresh investors will see the potential here.

The stock market is littered with them, seems to be more short term/dare I say day traders in LID over the last few months. Happy with their 5%+ then off.

This management are quite canny US market as well...

'Above all, automotive parts, retail, information technology and telecoms, medical technology, life sciences and environment technology see the strongest future prospects in Japan. The government has created an attractive framework which offers favorable conditions for foreign firms. In depth-surveys are available on the website of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO).

Japan’s population is ageing rapidly. The demographic transformation and the great need for modernization throughout the health sector will create a strongly growing demand for medical equipment, care and health services. Japan is already the largest market for medical technology after the United States. '

That delayed 100,000 at 9.3 was a sell and that's when Winterflood came off the bid and price dropped at 10.13 am. BUT I still can't understand selling of a stock with so much potential upside.

7767, think the share price is playing catchup with yesterdays sells, quite a few sells in anticipation of the results? Or is it a Trent sorry Trend.
