11/5/2017 15:09 | Taking a different tack entirely: As she stood there by the trolley With a smile so warm and bright I could see her hips were shapely And her skirt a little tight. Well, I thought she was enticing, Calculated to arouse As the morning sunlight hinted At the contents of her blouse. But you can't bonk the Stewardess on Ryan Airways The gangways are not quite the proper size. No, you can't shag the Steward here on Ryan Airways Stop dreaming of his firm and chunky thighs. | arf dysg
11/5/2017 15:07 | Oh, you can't chop the Pilot up on British Airways The cabin crew are sure to whine and moan. No, you can't chop the Pilot up on British Airways However many air miles you have flown. | arf dysg
11/5/2017 10:38 | That's why the sportsmen are looking so happy. Carry on, boys, the weird and kooky luurve which those sheep give you will put a dreamy smile on your faces. | arf dysg

10/5/2017 16:24 | willib2, indeed I don't remember being told that you knew two engineers at Torotrak. It must have been ages ago, for it doesn't ring any bells. Funnily enough, I heard of the Torotrak device in about 1985, which was years before I thought of investing in the company. | arf dysg
10/5/2017 15:41 | Arf I was aware of the technical aspects, and you probably have forgotten that I told you I knew 2 engineers that worked there. All that was of course many moons ago but not quite as long as the Deltex saga which rumbles onward. | willib2
10/5/2017 12:05 | This is exactly the problem with these technologies - doomedtex is simply following the very same well trodden path. NHS has never been known for lacking institutional inertia. "All the above shows how institutional inertia and companies driven by marketing can kill a fundamentally good technology." | trentendboy
10/5/2017 10:54 | To Whom It May Concern, No, I don't hold TRK. I did, but it was years ago. It was just taking ages. It's a great piece of British technology, but the attitude of car and truck manufacturers seemed to be that they had billions invested in current production lines and they were perfectly happy where they were. We are talking about the motor industry which took twenty years to put disc brakes in cars, despite the fact that they were massively safer and probably even cheaper. Imagine a company which, at a stroke, increased the entire world's oil reserves by 10% or 20%. That company would pretty quickly acquire vast wealth. On the other hand, you can take the existing oil reserves and use them more efficiently, i.e. get more miles to the gallon (as with TRK's technology). That would have exactly the same effect as an increase in oil reserves, but no-one cares. Look at all these great things which are thrown away if we ignore this technology: 1) Lower fuel consumption due to flywheel on regenerative braking and acceleration; 2) Lower fuel consumption due to running the engine at its most efficient speed; 3) Buses starting from a flywheel, thereby NOT spewing out a great cloud of diesel fumes all over everybody every time they start moving... and buses do a lot of stopping and starting, not just at bus stops, but in town and city traffic generally. 4) Less pollution. Battery-powered vehicles seem to be growing in popularity, but that's because it's NEW! EXCITING! and of course motor manufacturers have a whole new kind of car they can advertise. On the other hand, TRK's technology is not the sort of obvious thing you can show to the public, so advertisers were at a loss as to how to tell an exciting story about it. All the above shows how institutional inertia and companies driven by marketing can kill a fundamentally good technology. | arf dysg

09/5/2017 16:53 | TEB, to be fair, it only needs one sheet of paper to print: 200,000,000 =TWO= =ZERO= =ZERO= =ZERO= =ZERO= =ZERO= =ZERO= =ZERO= =ZERO= SHARES ONLY | arf dysg
09/5/2017 13:18 | Sadly, I think you got it right, 2p for the next dilution. They will need to start warming up the printers for the new certificates as they will need millions of those pesky paper certificates. | trentendboy
09/5/2017 11:50 | "The 2-3pm mark" ... do you mean early this afternoon? Time for tea and biscuits? ...or maybe that's a disguised way of saying "pence" or "million shares" ? Come on, lad, spit it out. | arf dysg
09/5/2017 11:39 | Arf, you are in danger of making some useful points on the doomedtex board. Not really giving your leader a hard time though - he, notyou I suspect really believe that there will not be another placement around the 2-3pm mark (if you are lucky). To think anything else given history is simply foolish | trentendboy
09/5/2017 10:56 | from the announcement of the launch of a new monitor: "non-invasive" - non-invasive "minimally invasive" - minimally-invasive "and calibrated hemodynamic" - and highly invasive. | arf dysg

04/5/2017 10:49 | TEB, you're right. You're so right, you're righter than right. It's not just funny, it's hill hairy ass! | arf dysg |
