13/3/2008 11:51 | Barryrog: It seems LNR 21% investment in Evergreen Securities cannot easily be evaluated until ES shares are quoted again. There was to be a £12M issue of new shares at a premium to the suspension price. Does any one know if this was done? If so, and the post suspension price is the same as the suspension price of about 0.12p then market value will be in excess of £12M. Therefore valuing LNR investment at about 2.5M. However, if the performance of ES other investments are as poor as its investment in PEC then ES's NAV and Market Value may considerably less. Your further comments would be appreciated. | etarip
12/3/2008 23:44 | Evergreen Securities/EI has to implement its investing strategy by 25 April otherwise it loses its listing. | biggerbil
12/3/2008 18:44 | On a positive note the budget was a real boost to LNR. traditional power generators are being 'mullered' re emissions and the opportunities for a quantum leap in demand for wood chips are there to be exploited. | barryrog
12/3/2008 17:55 | The MM are pathetic, they obviously dont want to hold any stock so constantly mark the price down on tiny volume. If you exclude the 2 50k trades that were a rollover and assume all the rest are sells then £20k of sells has knocked the market cap down by over £570,000 - disproportionate i think | the shuffle man
12/3/2008 17:06 | Is Evergreen Securities plc listed and what is its EPIC code? What is its market value and is it related to Ethanol Investments which I believe was suspened on 25/10/07? | etarip
12/3/2008 16:09 | well impatience can be a very very bad thing | turbotrader2
12/3/2008 16:09 | Bonzophil... from 18 Dec RNS: LNR is today pleased to announce that it has reached agreement with the AiM-listed renewable energy company, Ethanol Investments plc ('EI'), for the sale of LNR's 11.55% stake in Prometheus Energy. The sale of this stake, which is subject to EI shareholder approval, values LNR's stake at £3.4 million. As consideration, LNR will receive new EI plc shares, giving the Company a stake of approximately 21% in Evergreen Securities plc, the new name for EI following its scheduled re-listing on AIM next month. | biggerbil
12/3/2008 15:45 | pachandl, there has been no Institutional selling. the price has been marked down over the past few months on incessant pi sells presumably because they are 'hacked off' with not getting any news. | barryrog
12/3/2008 15:32 | Generally shares that nose-dive like this suggest that the City has wind of a rights issue - well it bloody well better not happen. | pachandl
12/3/2008 15:20 | Big Gerbil where do you get the information that PEC shares have been sold? | bonzophil
12/3/2008 15:14 | yet another restless pi sell - share price ticks down yet again! this is so bloody annoying. | barryrog
12/3/2008 14:37 | .... hadn't even spotted it Barry .... no problem .... | imabastard
12/3/2008 14:19 | I wouldn't have thought so. The PEC investment has been sold to EI for a fixed fee (in shares). | biggerbil
12/3/2008 14:18 | sorry. i should have given you source credit for the chat with Greensmith. post now updated. | barryrog
12/3/2008 13:34 | PEC down 46%...is this the reason LNR is down??? | h4rsh2
12/3/2008 12:29 | whilst ImaB said he'd spoken to Greensmith on monday and they were waiting to announce achievements not potential opportunities, i have still contacted them regarding lack of updates and progress reports. lets face it,y/e was 10 weeks ago and they must have a good idea what the results look like - for christ sake they are only a microcap. they announced projects on the go 3 months ago in the U.S. Russia and China - surely a progress report on these projects isn't too much to expect. i agree also that the new Broker/Nomad should by now be generating some buying interest from their clients. | barryrog
12/3/2008 11:36 | The only reason I could think of is a partnership where the other company wishes to delay the announcement. Libra themselves desperately need one. | biggerbil
12/3/2008 11:32 | I think the company are holding something back for a reason IMHO | turbotrader2
12/3/2008 11:25 | Even a trading update from the canadian plants would help | biggerbil
12/3/2008 11:04 | The PR from this Company is absolutely pathetic. Is someone able to fire them up? This is a marvellous little company needing a drastic shake up. bygadsir | bygadsir
12/3/2008 09:13 | Tripple Bottom ??? or will we have a quadruple. Positive news is needed to break this down trend. | the shuffle man
12/3/2008 09:06 | With a market cap now of £11m and all these excellent prospects you would have thought the new broker would have been singing the praises of this company to its clients bringing new investors on board and increasing the share price. What is going on. Patience is frustrating. | the shuffle man
11/3/2008 17:58 | double bottom done!!! think our time is pretty damm nigh | turbotrader2 |
